N0. 14839 ORDER ENDORSING APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF KERRVILLE FOR A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT FOR IMPROVEMENTS IN THE LEGION DRIVE AREA ADJACENT TO THE KERRVILLE
CITY LIMITS
On this the 8th day of November, 1982 came on to be heard and considered by the Court
the matter of endorsing the pending application of the City of Kerrville to the United States
Department of Housing and Urban Development for a Community Development Block Grant for
certain public improvements in the Legion Drive area, an unincorporated area of Kerr County
completely surrounded by the incorporated areas of the City of Kerrville; and it appearing to
the Court after reviewing the aforesaid grant application that the improvements proposed to
be funded through the funds which such grant would provide would fill a number of unmet needs
of the area to be served and would materially eliminate the existing community blight of the
area, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Speakmon, seconded by Commissioner Holland,
and unanimously approved by the Court that Kerr County does hereby enthusiastically endorse
the aforesaid block grant application to the United States Department of Housing and Urban
Development; and it is further ordered that subsequent to the completion of the improvements
to be made with the grant funds sought under this application Kerr County will continue to
provide full maintenance for all of the public streets and roadways in the unincorporated
portions of the Legion Heights area for so long as they are not annexed to the City of Kerr-
ville.

N0. 14840 SALARY OF CLYDE ROBERTS, ASSISTANT CHIEF APPRAISER AND AS CHIEF APPRAISER OF THE
KERB COUNTY TAX APPRAISAL DISTRICT APPROVED, EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER j
1st, 1982
On this the 8th day of November 1982, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded
by Commissioner Guthrie, the Court unanimously approved the salary of Clyde Roberts, Assistant'
Chief Appraiser, until January 1st, 1983 when he becomes Chief Appraiser, in the amount of
$3,500.00 per month, plus $200.00 per month travel expenses, for payroll purposes only,
effective November 1st, 1982, in conformity with the action of the Directors of the Kerr
County Tax Appraisal Board and that said salary be paid out of the Tax Appraisal Office Fund.

On this the 8th day of November 1982, upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded
by Commissioner Speakmon, the Court unanimously approved the PLAT OF GREENWOOD FOREST N0. 5,
in Kerr County Precinct No. Four.

N0. 14842 APPORTIONMENT OF $40,000.00 FROM F. M. & LATERAL ROAD FUND TO THE FOUR PRECINCT
FUNDS
On this the 8th day of November 1982, upon motion made by Commissioner Speakmon, second-
ed by Commissioner Guthrie, the Court unanimously approved that the County Clerk and County
Treasurer be authorized to apportion the sum of $40,000.00 from the F. M. & Lateral Road Fund
to the four Road & Bridge Precincts, as follows:
