ORDER N0.14823 ORDER ACCEPTING RECOMDIENDATION FOR CLOSING OF CERTAIN PUBLIC ROADWAYS UPON COMPLETION OF SPUR 535 ENTRANCE TO AIRPORT On this the 11th da,a of October, 1982 came on to be heard and considered by the Court the recommendation of the Joint Airport Advisory Board and the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Kerrville for the closing and abandonment of certain public roadways within anal in tY:e proximity of the City-County Airport upon the completion of the proposed Spur 535 entrance roadway to Louis Schreiner Field; and it appearing to the Court that the construction cf the said Spur 535 together with the contemporaneous construction of a segment of connecting roadway within the airport caill result in a relocation of the route of access to the public use and commercial areas of the airport and will eliminate the need for the continuing public use of the existing principal entrance to the west side of Louis Schreiner Field as well as certain other public roadways lying to the west of Spur 535; and it further appearing to the Court that a commitment by Kerr County and the City of Kerrville to close such roadways is an essential factor in the pending negotiations for the acquisition of right of way for the route of Spur 535, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Holland seconded by Cotrunissioner Lich and. unanimously approved by the Court that, subject to the concurrence by the City Council of the City of Kerrville, Kerr Counts does hereby accept the following recommendations of the Joint Airport Advisory Board and the Kerrville Planning and Zoning Commission to close and abandon the following public roadways within and in th.e proximity of Louis Schreiner Field on completion of the new Spur 535 access roadway to Louis Schreiner Field as shown in the sketch filed herewith as "Exhibit A",with each governing body to act according to its own administrative procedures, the said recommendations being to close tl2e following public roadways: 1. A portion of the Peterson Farm P.oad (Old Highway 27) west of Spur 535; 2. The old Schulze-Post Road between the present routes of Highway 27 and the Peterson Farm Road; 3. The present main entrance roadway to Louis Schreiner Field between Highway 27 and the Peterson Farm Road subject to the retention of an easement for permanent access to the City-County owned water tower site and. with portions of said roadway to be reserved as an access route to the present tlooney lease area from the Peterson Farm Road. 7! ~n W WATT A3o.
