APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO THE CITY/COUNTY FIRE FIGHTING
AGREEMENT
On this the 11th day of October 1982, upon motion made
by Commissioner Speakmon, seconded by Commissioner Guthrie,
with Commissioners Speakmon, Lich and Guthrie and County
Judge Neunhoffer voting "AYE" and Commissioner Holland
voting "NO", said motion carrying by a majority vote,
approving an Amendment to the City/County Fire Fighting
Agreement, between the City of Kerrville and the County
of Kerr.
Effective October 31st, 1982, Kerr County will pay to
the City of Kerrville monthly the rate of $2,000.00 per
month for fire service rendered and terminating on
September 30, 1983, under the identical terms and condi-
tions of the existing second one-year extension. of the
existing fire contract.

Dear Judge:
Please be advised that the following actions have been
taken in regard to subject contract:
1. At their regular meeting on September 28, 1982,
the Kerrville City Council approved a 30-day tem-
porary extension of the existing City/County Fire
Fighting Agreement continuing on the flat rate of
$2,000 per month. This will cover through the
date of October 30, 1982.

2. At their 12th called meeting on September 29,
1982, the Kerrville-Kerr County Ambulance and
Fire Committed voted unanimously to recommend to
the two governing bodies to extend the City/
County fire contract at the flat rate of $2,000
per month under the same terms as the existing
contract, otherwise, for the eleven months and
one day which would begin on October 31, 1982,
and end on September 30, 1983, as described in
the attached draft of Amendment to Agreement.
It is planned for the City Council to have this item
on its October 12, 1982, agenda. It would be appre-
ciated if you would do the same on your October 11,
1982, agenda.

This Amendment by and between the CITY OF KERRVILLE, Kerr
County, Texas, hereinafter called "City", acting through its
Mayor and attested 6y its City Clerk, and the COi'NT1' OF KERR,
hereinafter called "County", acting through the Commissioners
Court of such County, pursuant to the order of the said Commis-
sioners Cour*:
4tITNESSETH:
The City and County agree to the continuation of the
manner o' p..y~,tnt wherein the County will pay to the Citv
monthly the raie of X2,000 per month for fire service rendered
hereunder beginning on October 31, 1982, and terminating on
September 30, 1983.
Except as amended herein, all of the provisions of the
original agreement effective Goober i, 1979, shall be in
effect during the term hereof.
