Janet Smith Gerald Witt Lucille Edens o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o " N0. 14894 RESOLUTION RELATING TO APPROVAL OF FINANCING OF COr~A1ERCIAL PROJECTS; AND I COiQTAINING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT WHEREAS, Kerr County (the "Unit"), a political subdivision of the State of Texas, has I approved and authorized the creation of the Kerr County Industrial Development Corporation ' (the "Corporation") as a Texas non-profit corporation, pursuant to the provisions of the Development Corporation Act of 1979, Article 5190.6, Vernon's Annotated Texas Civil Statutes, as amended (the "Act"), to act on behalf of the Unit to promote and develop industrial and manufacturing enterprises to promote and encourage employment and the public welfare; and 6Ti-IEREAS, the Corporation is authorized by the Act to issue bonds on behalf of the Unit to finance all or a part of the costs of a 'project' as defined i.n the Act; WHEREAS, the Unit has been designated by the Economic Development Administration, a federal agency, as an economically distressed county. WHEREAS, the population of the Unit is Less than 50,000 according to the 1980 federal decennial census; and WHEREAS, the Act provides that, in a federally designated economically distressed county of less than 50,000 persons according to the last federal decennial census, a project may I include the land, buildings, equipment, facilities and imp-rcvements (one or more) found by
