On this the 9th day of Play, 1983, at a regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of
Kerr County, Texas, there came on for consideration the making of a contract for the collec-
tion of delincuent taxes, and motion was made by FRED HOLLAfdD County Commissioner of Precinct
f7o. 1, seconded by VICTOR LICI3 County Commissioner of Precinct ido. 3, that subject to approval
by the State Property Tax Board and Attorney General of Texas said Commissioners' Court in
behalf _ said County do make and enter into a contract with Jerry Shiever a licensed attorney;,
for the latter to collect delinquent taxes in said County for 15~ of the amount of taxes,
penalty and interest collected, said contract to end on the 31st day of December, 1984,
with six months thereafter to complete pending suits,
and recommended by the State Property Tax Board.

RESOLUTION AND ORDER
On this 9th day of May, 1983, at a regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of
Kerr County, Texas, there came on for consideration a resolution to provide for an additional
penalty for delinquent ad valorem taxes, and motion was made b;~ Commissioner Holland, and
seconded by Commissioner Higgins, that:
1. During such time that said County has contracted with an attorney to enforce
the collection of delinquent taxes pursuant to V.T.C.A., Tax Code, Sec. 6.30, ad valorem
taxes that remain delinquent on July 1 of the year in which they become delinquent incur an
additional penalty of 15% of the amount of taxes, penalty and interest dye to defray costs
of collection by said attorney, as provided by V.T.C.A., Tax Code, Sec. 33.07.
2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
Said motion being nut to vote, it carried by a vote of 5 to 0.
