Said roads are private roads and it is understood that in the future, if there is a desire for County maintenance, roads are to be brought up to standards. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 15033 RESIGNATION OF CURTIS MEADE AS CIVIL DEFENSE COORDINATOR, EFFECTIVE APRIL 15, 1983 On this the 9th day of May 1983, upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved confirmation of the resignation of Curtis Meade as Civil Defense Coordinator, effective April 15th, 1983. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 15034 ORDER REQUESTING THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TPANSPORTATION TO INSTITUTE A STUDY OF FUTURE TRANSPORTATION NEEDS AND PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the County of Kerr and the City of Kerrville have realized constant growth and increased business activity both within the County and inside the City during the past few years and it is anticipated that accelerated growth will reflect continued increases in population and traffic, and; WHEREAS, said growth has presented many problems in regards to the expeditious and safe passage of the increased traffic, although the completed section of Loop 534 has been of material assistance, and; FIHEREAS, Kerr County realizes that the State Department of Highways and Public Trans- portation has the expertise to make a study of the future transportation needs to meet the increased growth and congestion; NOW, THEREFORF. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County hereby requests the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation to institute a study of future transportation needs and proposed improvements in the areas involved. that can be utilized for planning purposes and the protection of needed right of way by the City, by the County, and by the State.
