3. The State of Texas vs. Judith A. MacKenzie, as principal, et al, recorded in County
Court Minutes Volume 26 page 216 of Kerr County, Texas and also an Abstract of Judgment was
filed in Bandera County in Official Public Records in Volume 219 on page 131-132, for the
amount of $400.00 and court costs;
And it appearing to the Court that the County Attorney is now recommending that all
three of the above cases be released upon payment of an agreed settlement in the amount of
$2,573.00, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Guthrie,,
and unanimously approved by the Court that the three cases as set out above be released upon
payment of $2,573.00 (including court costs); and further that releases of lien in all three
cases be prepared and recorded in Bandera County; and the County Clerk of Kerr County, Texas !
is hereby authorized to deposit the agreed settlement sum of $2,573.00 into the Trust Fund
of the County Clerk, and to disburse said funds to the proper parties.

On this the 9th day of May 1983, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by
Commissioner Lich, the Court. unanimously approved the PLAT OF BEAR PAW RANCH; located in
Commissioner's Precinct No. One.
Said roads are private roads and it is understood that in the future, if there is a
desire for County maintenance, roads are to be brought up to standards.

On this the 9th day of May 1983, upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved confirmation of the resignation of
Curtis Meade as Civil Defense Coordinator, effective April 15th, 1983.

N0. 15034 ORDER REQUESTING THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
TO INSTITUTE A STUDY OF FUTURE TRANSPORTATION NEEDS AND PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the County of Kerr and the City of Kerrville have realized constant growth
and increased business activity both within the County and inside the City during the past
few years and it is anticipated that accelerated growth will reflect continued increases
in population and traffic, and;
WHEREAS, said growth has presented many problems in regards to the expeditious and
safe passage of the increased traffic, although the completed section of Loop 534 has been
of material assistance, and;
i~]HEREAS, Kerr County realizes that the State Department of Highways and Public Trans-
portation has the expertise to make a study of the future transportation. needs to meet the
increased growth and congestion;
NOW, THEREFORF. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County hereby
requests the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation to institute a study of
future transportation needs and proposed improvements in the areas involved that can be
utilized for planning purposes and the protection of needed right of way by the City, by
the County, and by the State.
Motion made by Commissioner Holland., seconded by Commissioner Higgins and unanimously
approved by the Commissioners' Court on this the 9th day of May, 1983.
