N0. 15189 ADOPTION OF PROPOSED OPERATING BUDGET AS AMENDED, FOR KERR COUNTY, TEXAS, FOR
TIIE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1st, 1983
On this the 16th day of September 1983, came on to be considered by the Court the public
hearing in the matter of the Adoption of the County Budget for the fiscal year beginning
October 1st, 1983.
It appearing to the Court that proper notices have been published in the Official News-
paper of Kerr County, in the City of Kerrville, Texas, for one week prior to the hearing date)
hereof, and after thorough examination by the Court and the consideration of the public
interest of the community, the Court is of the opinion that the Proposed Operating Budget as
amended, for Kerr County, Texas, for the fiscal year beginning October 1st, 1983, including
General Revenue Sharing Funds, should be approved.
Therefore, on motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded by Commissioner IIolland, the'
Court unanimously approved the adoption of the County Budget as amended, for the fiscal year
beginning October 1st, 1983.

On this the 16 day of September, 1983, at a regular term of the Commissioners' Court,

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that Kerr County opt to allow split payment of taxes for all units
for which it collects taxes. Pursuant to Sec. 31.03, State Property Tax Code, such option
allows taxpayers who pay one-half of the unit's taxes before December 1 to pay the remaining
one-half of the taxes without penalty or interest before July 1 of the following year.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that pursuant to the provisions of Section 31.05 (b) Kerr County
adopt the following discounts to apply to payment of taxes collected by Kerr County:
(1)	three percent	if the tax	is paid	in October	or earlier;
(2)	two percent if	the tax is	paid in	November;	and
