The taking and receiving of bids for one 1984 dump truck with cab and chassis for use
by the Commissioner of Kerr County Precinct 4 was declared closed at this time.

N0. 15550 BIDS FOR ONE 1984 DUMP TRUCK WITH CAB & CHASSIS FOR USE BY THE COMMISSIONER OF
KERR COUNTY PRECINCT N0. FOUR REFERRED TO COUNTY AUDITOR FOR STUDY & RECOMMENDATION
On this the 9th day of July 1984, upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded
by Commissioner Holland, the Court unanimously approved that bids for one 1984 dump truck
with cab & chassis, for use by the Commissioner of Kerr County Precinct No. 4, be referred
to the County Auditor for study and recommendation.

N0. 15551 ORDER RESCINDING ORDER N0. 15548, DATED JUNE 21st, 1984
On this the 9th day of July 1984, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by
Commissioner Higgins, the Court unanimously approved that Order No. 15548, dated June 21st,
1984 be rescinded - Re: Order to Advertise for one 1985 two ton dump truck, cab and chassis,
to be purchased by Kerr County, for use by the Commissioner of Kerr County Precinct No. One.
Said Order No. 15548 is rescinded at the request of the Commissioner of Kerr County Precinct
No. One, Fred Holland.

N0. 15552 ORDER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR ONE AGGREGATE SPREADER FOR USE BY THE COMMISSIONER
OF KERR COUNTY PRECINCT N0. ONE
On this the 9th day of July 1984, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by
Commissioner Higgins, the Court unanimously approved that the County Judge be authorized to
advertise for bids for one aggregate spreader for use by the Commissioner of Kerr County Precinct
No. One.
Bids to be without trade-in.
Specifications are on file in the office of the County Clerk of Kerr County, Texas.
Bids to be received until 10:00 o'clock A. M., August 13th, 1984, at which time all bids
will be publicly opened and read.
Kerr County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
Notices to be published in the Official Newspaper of Kerr County, Texas, July 14th and
July 21st, 1984.

N0. 15553 ORDER AUTHORIZING COUNTY JUDGE TO EXECUTE QUITCLAIM DEED TO LORINE M. CARPENTER
AS TO ABANDONED R.O.W. OF OLD KERRVILLE-JUNCTION CITY ROAD IN PRECINCT 4
On this the 9th day of July, 1984 came on to be heard and considered by the Court the
matter of a request that Kerr County execute a quitclaim deed to a tract of land in Precinct
4, Kerr County, Texas, said tract containing 7.493 acres, more or less, situated in the W.
W. Sproul Survey and W. W. Wells Survey and located about 22 miles northwest of the Mountain

Home Post Office, said tract being an old R,O.W, for the Kerrville-Junction City Road;
and it appearing to the Court that said right of way has been abandoned and Kerr County ii

has been requested to execute a quitclaim deed to the original owner, it is ordered on

motion by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded by Commissioner Holland, and approved by majority

vote, with Commissioners Holland, Higgins, Lich and Guthrie voting aye and Judge Morriss ~~

abstaining, that Kerr County execute a quitclaim deed as to 7.493 acres as described above
to Lorine M. Carpenter; and it is further ordered that the County Judge be hereby authorized
to execute and deliver the aforesaid quitclaim deed to the grantee,

N0. 15554 ACCEPTANCE OF DELIVERY OF TRUCK CHASSIS AND WATER TANK FOR USE BY THE COMMISSIONER
OF KERR COUNTY PRECINCT N0. TWO AND AUTHORIZATION FOR PAYMENT
On this the 9th day of July 1984, upon motion made by Commissioner Higgins, seconded by
Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved acceptance of delivery of one truck chassis
and water tank for use by the Commissioner of Kerr County Precinct No. Two and authorized
payment to W. A. NEEL, ASSOCIATES in the total amount of $32,384.00 ($13,729.00 for the water
tank & pump and $18,655.00 for the 1984 International Harvester Model 1724 truck).
It is ordered by the Court that the Auditor and Treasurer be authorized to draw a vouche
on the General Road & Bridge Fund in above amount, payable to W. A. Neel, Associates.

N0. 15555 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS AND ACCOUNTS
On this the 9th day of July 1984, came on to be considered by the Court, the various
claims and accounts against Kerr County and the various Commissioners' Precincts, which
'' claims and accounts were approved for payment by the Auditor and Treasurer, in amounts and
out of Road & Bridge Precinct No. 1, 2, 3 and 4, General, 216th District Probation, Juvenile
Services, Juvenile State Aid, County Law Library, Lateral Rd. ~k3, Jury & Revenue Sharing
~: Trust Funds.
Motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Higgins and unanimously
approved by the Court that said bills be paid.

N0. 15556 APPOINTMENT OF ELECTION OFFICIALS FOR THE YEAR 1984
On this the 9th day of July 1984, came on to be considered by the Court the appointment
of the necessary election officials for the ensuing year, for each of the eighteen precincts
of Kerr County and the Absentee Box at the Courthouse, as shown on pages 106 thru 112, Volume
2, Record of Election Judges for Kerr County, Texas.
Motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Higgins and unanimously
approved by the Court.
