HIGGINS Commissioner Precinct 2 VICTOR LICH Commissioner Precinct 3 BILLY JOE GUTHRIE, JR Commissioner Precinct 4 at_which time a public hearing on the proposed operating budget for Kerr County for the fiscal year beginning October 1st, 1984 through September 30, 1985, including General Revenue Sharing Funds, was held in the County Courtroom of Kerr County Courthouse. 19 members of the public were present at the public hearing. Motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded by Commissioner Lich that the public hearing be adjourned and unanimously approved by the Court. The public hearing adjourned September 17, 1984 at 11:26 A,M, o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o COMMISSIONERS' COURT RECONVENED IN REGULAR SESSION on September 17, 1984, at 11:37 A.M., at the conclusion of the Budget Hearing, with all members of the Court present, and the following proceedings were had: N0. 15674 ADOPTION OF PROPOSED OPERATING BUDGET FOR KERB COUNTY, TEXAS, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1st, 1984 On this the 17th day of September 1984, came on to be considered by the Court the public hearing in the matter of the Adoption of the County Budget for the fiscal year beginn- ing October 1st, 1984. It appearing to the Court that proper notices have been published in the Official Newspaper of Kerr County, in the City of Kerrville, for one week prior to the hearing date hereof, and after thorough examination by the Court and the consideration of the public interest of the community, the Court is of the opinion that the Proposed Operating Budget for Kerr County, Texas, for the fiscal year beginning October 1st, 1984, including General Revenue Sharing Funds, should be approved. Therefore, on motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Guthrie, the Court unanimously approved the adoption of the County Budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1st, 1984. ORDER N0. 15675 o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o TAX LEVY FOR 1984 On this the 17th day of September, 1984 at a regular term of the Commissioners' Court, with all members present, it is Ordered, Adjudged and Decreed that the following tax levies and collections be made for the year 1984 in and for Kerr County, Texas, and/or other sub- divisions thereof, as follows: COUNTY AD VALOREM General Fund .1845 Jury Fund .005 Public Library .013 Permanent Improvement Fund .004 Courthouse & Jail Bond Sinking Fund .0075 Courthouse & Jail Certificates of Obligation Sinking Fund ,001 ,2150 F. Pursuant to Sec. 31.03, State Property Tax Code, such option allows taxpayers who pay one-half of the unit's taxes before December 1 to pay the remaining one-half of the taxes without penalty or interest before July 1 of the following year. Occupation Tax 50% of State Levy. 3688 IT IS FURTHER ORDERED THAT Kerr County opt to allow split payment of taxes for all IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that pursuant to the provisions of Section 31.05 (b) Kerr County adopt the following discounts to apply to payment of taxes collected by Kerr County: (1) three percent if the tax is paid in October or earlier; (2) two percent if the tax is paid in November; and (3) one percent if the tax is paid in December. Motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded by Commissioner Lich, and unanimously approved by the Court. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 15676 ORDER AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF PROPOSED SALARY INCREASES OF ELECTED OFFICIALS OF KERB COUNTY, TEXAS On this the 17th day of September, 1984, came on to be considered by the Court the matter of proposed salary increases for certain elected County and Precinct Officials of Kerr County, Texas, pursuant to applicable laws of the State of Texas. It is ordered that notice be published once in the official newspaper of Kerr County, Texas that it is the intention of the Commissioners' Court to consider the following proposed salary increases at a public hearing to be held in the County Courtroom of the Kerr County Courthouse on Tuesday, October 9, 1984 Term, namely, October 9, 1984 and that such increases, if ordered, shall be effective October 1, 1984.
