ONE On this the 29th day of October 1984, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Higgins, the Court unanimously approved payment to Neil Reinhard in the amount of $3,500.00 for removal of part of a building for widening of Garner Drive in Kerr County Commissioner's Precinct No. One. Said payment to be made upon Kerr County's receipt of a deed from Neil Reinhard for a 30 foot right-of-way for the entire length of his property along Garner Drive. Baskette: This letter is a followup to our telephone conversation of October 16, 1984, wherein you indicated that you and Mr. Holland could recommend to the Commissioners Court that P4r. Reinhard be paid $3,500.00 for his property which will be taken for the easement; that the easement through Mr. Reinhard's property will be 30' in width for the entire length of the property and that the additional 20' which is part of the 50' easement at the lower end of the property would be abandoned. It is also my understanding that the balance of our proposal in my letter of September 26, 1984, would be ac- ceptable to you if approved by the court. Mr. Reinhard has made efforts to remove the personal property from the end of the house that is to be severed and is certainly willing to continue working with the court in any matter possible. Please let us know as soon as possible the courts re- action. I met with Mr. Reinhard yesterday and discussed what would be required to reach an agreement to extend the road- way easement through his property and take a portion of the existing house structure which we previously observed. It is Mr. Reinhard's position that this entire matter could be settled as follows: 1. The county would agree to pay Mr. Reinhard the sum of $6,000.00 for the taking of a portion of the existing structure and increasing the easement across the upper portion of his property to 30' in width. 2. That tiie entire easement across his property be limited to 30' and that he be given a variance to use the remaining 20' which was originally set forth in the 50' easement across the lower portion of this property. 3. That the 30' easement be taken from a point in line with the fence along the creek and extend into the hill side where possible. 4. That the county agree to repair the foundation which will have to be severed to expand the easement to 30' where the house exists. 5.
