The second- ary runway, Runway 2/20 is 4,050 feet long and 100 feet wide. Runway 12/30 has 97.36 percent wind coverage. The objective of the current improvements to Kerrville Municipal Airport is to provide a runway of 5,000 feet in length to acconmodate 60 percent of the basic transport fleet. These improvements are com- patible with the improvements as recommended in the Master Plan prepared in 1976 for the airport. These improvements have been coordinated with the fixed base operator on the airport. The improvements are described in detail in the following items. KERRVILLE PIUNICIPAL AIRPORT ITEM 1: LAND ACQUISITION DESCRIPTION: The extension to Runway 12J30 required the purchase of 90.5406 acres of land to the southeast of Runway 12/30. The tract of land has been acquired by the sponsors with the following costs included: COST: 90.5406 Acres and Improvements $293,621.80 Survey, Appraisal and Miscellaneous Expenses 31,378.20 Total Land Acquisition Cost $325,000.00 For the 600 foot extension 17 acres will be required. Land Acquisition Cost for 17 Acres $ 61,000 KERRVILLE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT ITEM 2: RELOCATC ENTRANCE ROAD DESCRIPTION: Johnson Drive Access Road will be relocated to provide an 18 foot moveable obstruction clearance. This will require 3,100 feet of new roadway. A. Grading: This work includes final compaction on the material moved in when the runway crown was lowered and also includes the hauling of ad- ditional fill material. The drainage will be realigned to go around the extension. B. Base Material: Base Material will be installed to be compatible with the existing runways. The thickness will be 18 inches. ' C. Pavemant~ Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete (HMAC) pavement of 2 inch thickness will be installed on the compacted base material. D. Marking: This work includes centerline striping and indentification lettering at the end of the runway with reflective paint as required by specifications.
