ORDER NO. 16301 APPROVAL OF PAYMENT OF ADDITIONAL AMOUNT OF $1,270.40 TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE CURB WITHIN THE LIMITS FROM STATE HIGHWAY 16 SOUTH OF KERRVILLE TO SOUTHEAST APPROXIMATELY 2 MILES ON LOOP 534 On this the 26th day of September 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Higgins, seconded by Commissioner Guthrie, with Commissioners Higgins, Lich and Guthrie and County Judge Morriss voting "AYE" and Commissioner Holland voting "NAY", said motion carrying by a majority vote, approving payment to the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation in the amount of $1,270.40 for construction of a concrete curb and incidental items within the limits from State Highway No. 16, South of Kerrville to Southeast approximately 2 miles on Loop 534. (This is an additional amount above the $8,900.00 previously paid in August of 1985, as the bid price of the curb was more than estimated during the planning stage). It is ordered by the Court that the County Treasurer and County Auditor be authorized to draw a voucher on the Loop 534 Right of Y7ay Fund in the amount of $1,270.40, payable to the State Depart- ment of Highways and Public Transportation for the additional cost. The contract on the above project was let and the bid price of the curb was more than estimated during the planning stage. As per the agreement signed by the County, any overrun will require the County to increase the escrow funds. The required additional escrow fund is $1,270.40. The estimated cost per foot was $3.85 with the actual bid price being $4,40. Figures showing the difference are as follows: 2,312 LF @ $3.85 = $8,901.20 2,312 LF @ $4,40 = $10,172.80 Difference $1,270.40 We hope this explains the additional cost.
