M., November 12th, 1985 with all members present and the following proceedings were had: NO. 16369 MOTION OF COMMISSIONER FRED HOLLAND REQUESTING VOTE OF THE COMMISSIONERS' COURT IN SESSION, APPROVING OR DISAPPROVING ACTION OF KERR COUNTY HOUSING FINANCE CORPORATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS On this the 12th day of November 1985, a motion was made by Commissioner Fred Holland requesting a vote of the Commissioners' Court in session, approving or disapproving action of the Kerr County Housing Finance Corporation Board of Directors. Motion failed for lack of a second. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 16370 MOTION OF COMMISSIONER FRED HOLLAND REQUESTING THAT A PUBLIC HEARING BE GRANTED BEFORE ISSUANCE OF RESOLUTION DECLARING INTENT TO ISSUE BONDS TO PROVIDE FINANCING FOR A RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT FOR PERSONS OF LOW AND MODERATE INCOME (BORDEAUX APARTMENTS); AND CONTAINING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT On this the 12th day of November 1985, a motion was made by Commissioner Holland r~ requesting that a public hearing be granted before the issuance of a RESOLUTION DECLARING INTENT TO ISSUE BONDS TO PROVIDE FINANCING FOR A RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT FOR PERSONS OF LOW AND MODERATE INCOME (BORDEAUX APARTMENTS) AND CONTAINLNG OTHER PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT. FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES RENDERED TO KERR COUNTY ON PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT FOR THE PERIOD SEPTEMBER 20, 1985 THROUGH OCTOBER 19th, 1985 On this the 12th day of November 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded i by Commissioner Higgins, the Court unanimously approved a partial payment to RAY ASSOCIATES, INC., for professional services rendered to Kerr County on Personnel Management, for the period September 20th, 1985 through October 19th, 1985, and for additional consultation on c,~ scheduling of Sheriff's Department deputies, in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act, as requested by the Commissioners' Court on October 24th, 1985, in the total amount of $4,761.27. It is ordered by the court that the County Treasurer and County Auditor be authorized ~' D to draw a voucher in the above amount, payable to RAY ASSOCIATES, INC. out of the General Fund', o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 16374 CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT AND PROPOSED LOCAL AMENDMENT ELECTION RETURNS CANVASSED AND TABULATED On this the 12th day of November 1985, came on to be considered by the Court the returns to be canvassed to determine the results of the Constitutional Amendment and Proposed Local Amendment Election held on November 5th, 1985. And the Court having canvassed and tabulated the returns of the election precincts and the Absentee Canvassing Board Box, are of the opinion that said returns, after having been opened and canvassed, are true and correct and should be approved. Therefore, on motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Higgins, the Court unanimously approved that the returns canvassed and tabulated in Volume 7, Page 33 through 38, Record of Election Returns of Kerr County, Texas, and as certified thereto by each member of the Court, are in all respects approved. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o 'I NO. 16375 ORDER APPROVING PAYMENT OF ELECTION OFFICERS AND RENT, ETC. FOR USE OF BUILDINGS IN HOLDING CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT AND PROPOSED LOCAL AMENDMENT ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 5th, 1985 !i On this the 12th day of November 1985, on motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded 1 '! by Commissioner Higgins, the Court unanimously approved the payment of claims of the Election Officials as per claims on file at $4.00 per hour and the Presiding Judges $20.00 for bringing in the returns of Election, including the Absentee Box, and payment to various places for the use of buildings, heat, lights, etc., in holding the constitutional Amendment and Proposed Local Amendment Election on November 5th, 1985. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 16376 BALLOTS DELIVERED FOR USE IN CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT ELECTION HELD IN KERR COUNTY,, TEXAS ON NOVEMBER 5, 1985, AS PER ARTICLE 6.09, TEXAS ELECTION CODE As per Art. 6.09, Texas Election Code, the County Clerk is required to enter in the ~ minutes of the Commissioners' Court, the number of ballots delivered for use in regular voting to the presiding judges on election day and the range of serial numbers on those ballots delivered and for absentee voting and the range of serial numbers on those ballots. I The absentee voting clerk shall handle and account for defectively printed, defaced and mutilated ballots and other unused ballots in the same manner as prescribed by this code for other unused ballots in regular voting on election day. Said accounting is for all ballots issued to Presiding Judges and for absentee use for the Constitutional Amendment Election held in Kerr County, Texas on November 5, 1985.
