COMMISSIONERS' COURT CONVENED IN SPECIAL SESSION at 10:00 o'clock A. M., October 8th, 1985, with the following officers present: GORDON S. Commissioner Precinct 4 at which time a public hearing was held in the County Courtroom of the Kerr County Courthouse , in Kerrville, Texas, to consider the proposed salary increases for certain elected County and Precinct Officials of Kerr County, Texas, as per notice published in the Official Newspaper i of Kerr County, Texas. 3 members of the public appeared for the meeting. Motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Guthrie and unanimously approved by the Court that said hearing be adjourned. PUBLIC HEARING Adjourned at 10:05 A. M., with all members of the Court present, and the following proceedings were had: NO. 16306 ORDER SETTING SALARIES OF ELECTED OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF KERR COUNTY, TEXAS, FOR FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1st, 1985 On this the 8th day of October 1985, came on to be considered by the Court the matter of setting salaries of elected officials and employees of Kerr County, pursuant to applicable ', laws of the State of Texas; and it appearing to the Court that said salaries and allowances have been agreed upon through budgetary processes. It is ordered on motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Lich, with Commissioners Holland, Higgins and Lich and County Judge Morriss voting "AYE" and Commis-, sinner Guthrie voting "NAY", said motion carrying by a majority vote, approving the salaries and allowances for elected officials and employees for the fiscal year beginning October 1st, 1985, in the salary schedule listed by department. (*Denotes elected official). .~ o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 16307 AWARD OF BID TO COMMERCIAL OFFICE SUPPLY, KERRVILLE, TEXAS, FOR FURNITURE FOR THE NEW COUNTY COURT AT LAW COURTROOM AND OFFICES AND MODIFICATION OF THE EXISTING TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR'S OFFICE On this the 8th day of October 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Lich, seconded by Commissioner Holland, the Court unanimously approved acceptance of the bid of Commercial Office Supply, Kerrville, Texas, for furniture for the new County Court at Law Courtroom and Offices and modification of the existing Tax Assessor-Collector's Office, in the amount of $16,492.83, as the lowest bid submitted. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 16308 AWARD OF BID TO SAMS & SONS, WACO, TEXAS, FOR NEW BENCH SEATING FOR THE NEW COUNTY COURT AT LAW COURTROOM On this the 8th day of October 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Higgins, the Court unanimously approved acceptance of the bid of Sams & Sons, Waco, Texas, for the new bench seating for the new County Court at Law Courtroom, in the amount of $3,474.00, being the only bid received. N0. 16310 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS AND ACCOUNTS On this the 8th day of October 1985, came on to be considered by the Court the various claims and accounts against Kerr County and the various Commissioners' Precincts, which claims' ' and accounts were approved for payment by the County Auditor and County Treasurer, payable ' out of General, Road and Bridge, Jury and Juvenile State Aid Funds. Motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Lich and unanimously I approved by the Court that said bills be paid. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o ' NO. 16311 APPROVAL OF AACOG'S PROJECT TO DEVELOP A REGIONAL PLAN FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF SOLID WASTE ' On this the 8th day of October 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Higgins, seconded ' by Commissioner Holland, the Court unanimously approved support of AACOG'S project to develop a regional plan for the management of municipal solid waste. It is ordered by the Court that the County Treasurer and County Auditor be authorized r,~, ' to draw a voucher on the General Fund, payable to Alamo Area Council of Governments in the ' amount of $740.81, as requested in an invoice dated September 24th, 1985, for development of above mentioned plan. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o
