Motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Higgins that the public hearing be adjourned and unanimously approved by the Court. The public hearing adjourned September 26th, 1985 at 7:05 P. M. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o COMMISSIONERS' COURT RECONVENED IN SPECIAL SESSION on September 26th, 1985, at 7:06 P. M., at the conclusion of the Budget Hearing, with all members of the Court present, and the following proceedings were had: N0. 16304 ADOPTION OF PROPOSED OPERATING BUDGET FOR KERR COUNTY, TEXAS, FOR FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1st, 1985 On this the 26th day of September 1985, came on to be considered by the Court the ! public hearing in the matter of the adoption of the County Budget for the fiscal year, beginning October 1st, 1985. It appearing to the Court that proper notices have been in the Kerrville Mountain Sun and the Kerrville Daily Times, in the City of Kerrville, Texas, for one week prior to the hearing date hereof, and after thorough examination by the Court and the consideration of the public interest of the community, the Court is of the opinion that the Proposed Operating Budget for Kerr County, Texas, for the fiscal year beginning October 1st, 1985 should be approved. Pursuant to Sec. 31.03, State Property Tax Code, such option allows taxpayers who pay one-half of the unit's taxes before December 1 to pay the remaining one-half of the taxes without penalty or interest before July 1 of the following year. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that pursuant to the provisions of Section 31.05 (b) Kerr County adopt the following discounts to apply to payment of Kerr County Taxes: I ', (1) three percent if the tax is paid in October or earlier (2) two percent if the tax is paid in November; and (3) one percent if the tax is paid in December.
