HARRIS, JUVENILE PROBATION OFFICER On this the 26th day of September 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Higgins, the Court unanimously approved a salary increase for Simon J. Harris, Juvenile Probation Officer, from $22,500.00 per annum to $26,000.00 per annum, effective as of September 1st, 1985, for payroll purposes. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 16301 APPROVAL OF PAYMENT OF ADDITIONAL AMOUNT OF $1,270.40 TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE CURB WITHIN THE LIMITS FROM STATE HIGHWAY 16 SOUTH OF KERRVILLE TO SOUTHEAST APPROXIMATELY 2 MILES ON LOOP 534 On this the 26th day of September 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Higgins, seconded by Commissioner Guthrie, with Commissioners Higgins, Lich and Guthrie and County Judge Morriss voting "AYE" and Commissioner Holland voting "NAY", said motion carrying by a majority vote, approving payment to the State Department of Highways and Public Transporta-',' tion in the amount of $1,270.40 for construction of a concrete curb and incidental items within the limits from State Highway No. 16, South of Kerrville to Southeast approximately !' 2 miles on Loop 534. (This is an additional amount above the $8,900.00 previously paid in August of 1985, as the bid price of the curb was more than estimated during the planning stage). It is ordered by the Court that the County Treasurer and County Auditor be authorized to draw a voucher on the Loop 534 Right of Way Fund in the amount of $1,270.40, payable to ' the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation for the additional cost. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 16302 APPROVAL OF LEASE OF ONE SAVIN 7035 COPIER FOR THE COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE, TRADE-IN OF ONE SAVIN 790 COPIER IN SHERIFF'S OFFICE AND TERMINATION OF LEASE ON ONE SAVIN 5030 COPIER IN COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE, ALSO TRADED IN On this the 26th day of September 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded by Commissioner Higgins, the Court unanimously approved the County Auditor's recommendation for approval of a lease of one Savin 7035 Copier for the County Clerk's Office, a trade-in of one Savin 790 Copier in the Sheriff's Office and a termination of a lease on one Savin 5030 Copier in the County Clerk's Office, also traded in. (The lease on one Savin 7035 copier in the County Clerk's Office is a 36 month lease, to be paid monthly in the amount of $323.95, payable to Comelco out of the General Fund). o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 16303 ACCEPTANCE OF BID OF COMPUTER ELECTION SYSTEMS FOR OPTICAL SCAN VOTING SYSTEM FOR KERR COUNTY On this the 26th day of September 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Higgins, the Court unanimously approved acceptance of the Bid of COMPUTER ELECTION SYSTEMS for an Optical Scan Voting System for Kerr County, Texas, in the +(1 amount of $20,500.00, as the best bid submitted for five machines ($4,100.00 each). Commissioner Precinct 4 at which time a public hearing on the proposed operating budget for Kerr County for the fiscal year beginning October 1st, 1985 through September 30th, 1986 was held in the County Courtroom of the Kerr County Courthouse. 7 members of the public were present at the public hearing. Motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Higgins that the public hearing be adjourned and unanimously approved by the Court. The public hearing adjourned September 26th, 1985 at 7:05 P. M. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o COMMISSIONERS' COURT RECONVENED IN SPECIAL SESSION on September 26th, 1985, at 7:06 P. M., at the conclusion of the Budget Hearing, with all members of the Court present, and the following proceedings were had: NO. 16304 ADOPTION OF PROPOSED OPERATING BUDGET FOR KERR COUNTY, TEXAS, FOR FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1st, 1985 On this the 26th day of September 1985, came on to be considered by the Court the public hearing in the matter of the adoption of the County Budget for the fiscal year, beginning October 1st, 1985. It appearing to the Court that proper notices have been in the Kerrville Mountain Sun and the Kerrville Daily Times, in the City of Kerrville, Texas, for one week prior to the hearing date hereof, and after thorough examination by the Court and the consideration of the public interest of the community, the Court is of the opinion that the Proposed Operating' Budget for Kerr County, Texas, for the fiscal year beginning October 1st, 1985 should be approved.
