N0. 16287 BIDS FOR OPTICAL SCAN VOTING SYSTEM REFERRED TO COUNTY AUDITOR FOR STUDY AND RECOMMENDATION On this the 26th day of September 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved that all bids for an Optical Scan Voting System for Kerr County be referred to the County Auditor for study and recommenda tion o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 16288 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS AND ACCOUNTS On this the 26th day of September 1985, came on to be considered by the Court the various claims and accounts against Kerr County and the various Commissioners' Precincts, which claims and accounts were approved for paymen ~I kzy the Auditor and Treasurer, payable out of General, Jury, Road & Bridge, Traffic Safety, Revenue Sharing, County Law Library and Kerr County Public Library Funds. Motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Lich and unanimously approved by the Court that said bills be paid. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 16289 ADOPTION OF THE PERSONNEL CLASSIFICATION STUDY PREPARED BY RAY ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR IMPLEMENTATION IN THE 1985-1986 BUDGET On this the 26th day of September 1985, came on to be considered by the Court, the Kerr County Personnel Classification Study prepared by Ray Associates, Inc., of Austin, Texas, which includes a salary survey, inventory of job classes by department, inventory by posi by pay group and pay scale. Upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded by Commissioner Higgins, the Court unanimously approved the Personnel Classification Study for implementation in the 1985-1986 Kerr County Budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1st, 1985. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 16290 POLICY CONCERNING LONGEVITY PAY FOR KERR COUNTY EMPLOYEES On this the 26th day of September 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded by Commissioner Holland, it was unanimously approved by the Court that the policy of longevity pay for Kerr County employees shall be discontinued, effective as of October 1st, 1985. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 16291 POLICY CONCERNING MERIT INCREASES FOR KERR COUNTY EMPLOYEES On this the 26th day of September 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, ry ±, seconded by Commissioner Higgins, the Court unanimously approved that requests for merit '' increases from officials or department heads shll be considered at the regular April and September Terms of Commissioners' Court, and that proposed increases be limited to no more thatn a two step increase, as per Kerr County Pay Schedule prepared by Ray Associates, Inc. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 16292 ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT OFFER BY THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION, PROJECT NO. 3-48-0121-02 FOR THE EXTENSION OF RW 12/30 600 FEET PLUS RELATED PROJECTS On this the 26th day of September 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Higgins, seconded by Commissioner Holland, the Court unanimously approved acceptance of a Grant Offer by the Federal Aviation Administration for the extension of Runway 12/30 600' east, light (MIRE) runway extension, extend parallel taxiway, relocate entrance road, acquire land for runway extension and clear zone, and fencing, and extend taxiway north-west 700', in total project costs in the amount of $713,333.00 ($642,000 FAA and City and County's portion 1'~ $71,333.00), project No. 3-48-0121-02). It is ordered by the Court that County Judge Gordon S. Morriss be authorized to execute said Grant Offer on behalf of Kerr County. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 16293 APPROVAL OF ACCEPTANCE OF BID OF OLMOS EQUIPMENT CO. FOR AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT CONTRACT: FAA PROJECT N0. 3-48-0121-02 IN THE AMOUNT OF $547,390.00, AS LOW BIDDER On this the 26th day of September 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Higgins, second- ed by Commissioner Holland, the Court unanimously approved acceptance of the bid of OLMOS EQUIPMENT CO. for Airport Improvement Project No. 3-48-0121-02 at Louis Schreiner Field, as low bidder, in the amount of $547,390.00, subject to approval of the contract form by the County Attorney and the F.A.A. (Project is funded 90~ by the FAA and 10~ by City and County). o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 16294 RESIGNATION OF ELIZABETH L. ASHLEY AS CHAIRMAN OF THE KERR COUNTY SESQUICENTENNIAL ^' COMMISSION On this the 26th day of September 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded by Commissioner Holland, the Court unanimously approved that the resignation of Elizabeth L. Ashley, Chairman of the Kerr County Sesquicentennial Commission, be ratified and confirmed, effective immediately. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 16295 APPROVAL OF PAYMENT TO SCHUBERT AND WILLIAMS, INC.
