On this the 25th day of July 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Lich, seconded
by Commissioner Holland, the Court unanimously approved that the resignation of Simona Garza,
Deputy County Clerk of Kerr County, Texas, be ratified and confirmed, effective as of
July 19th, 1985.
Simona Garza requested a job transfer to the office of District Clerk, in accordance
with Personnel Policies for Kerr County (which became effective January 1, 1985).

NO. 16184 APPROVAL OF APPLICATION OF DIARY BROOKS, DISTRICT CLERK, FOR APPOINTMENT OF
SIMONA GARZA AS DEPUTY DISTRICT CLERK
On this the 25th day of July 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Lich, seconded
by Commissioner Holland, the Court unanimously approved the application of Mary Brooks,
District Clerk, for the appointment of Simona Garza as Deputy District Clerk of Kerr County,
Texas, at a salary of $12,048.00 per annum ($1004.00 per month), effective July 20, 1985.
This is a $50.00 per month reduction in salary, since this employee requested a job transfer
from office of County Clerk to office of District Clerk, and is in accordance with Personnel
Policies for Kerr County (effective January 1, 1985).

N0. 16185 PURCHASE OF FIVE OPTECH ELECTION f7ACHINES FOR KERR COUNTY, TEXAS
On this the 25th day of July 1985, came on to be considered the matter of purchasing
election systems. Upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded by Commissioner Lich,
with Commissioners Guthrie and Lich and County Judge Morriss voting "AYE", and Commissioners
Holland and Higgins voting "NAY", motion carried by a majority vote approving the purchase of
five (5) OPTECH Computer Election Machines, at a price of $4,100.00 each, from
COMPUTER ELECTION SYSTEMS INC. , 1001 Eastshore Highway, Berkeley, CA 94710 .
The purchase price will be paid after delivery from the 1985-1986 Budget.

NO. 16186 APPROVAL OF INCREASE IN TRAVEL ALLOWANCE FOR CONSTABLE OF JUSTICE PRECINCT ONE
On this the 25th day of July 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded
by Commissioner Guthrie, the Court unanimously approved changing amount of travel allowance
for Don McClure, Constable of Justice Precinct One, from $100.00 per month to $200.00,
retroactive to July 1, 1985, and for remaining two months of 1984-1985 Fiscal Budget year.

NO. 16187 APPROVAL OF REPEAT OF LOT 22, INGRAM HILLS SUBDIVISION
On this the 25th day of July 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved a REPEAT OF LOT 22, INGRAM HILLS SUB-
DIVISION (recorded in Vol. 3, Page 149 of Plat Records of Kerr County, Texas), with no
variances; and that all improvements that are to be made shall comply with the existing
KERR COUNTY SUBDIVISION "RULES AND REGULATIONS" that became effective January 1st, 1984 and
amendments to the regulations that were approved by the Kerr County Commissioners' Court on
April 9th, 1984. (Said subdivision is located in Kerr County Commissioner's Precinct No.
Four).
