On this the 20th day of June 1985, came on to be considered by the Court, the various
claims and accounts against Kerr County and the various Commissioners' Precincts, which claims
and accounts were approved for payment by the County Auditor and County Treasurer, payable
by the County Auditor and County Treasurer, payable out of General, Road and Bridge, Revenue
Sharing, Juvenile Services, Traffic Safety, Jury and 216th District Probation Funds.
Motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Higgins and unanimously
approved by the Court that said bills be paid.

N0. 16127 APPROVAL OF THIRD QUARTERLY PAYMENT TO THE KERR CENTRAL APPRAISAL DISTRICT FOR
TAX APPRAISAL OFFICE EXPENSES FOR 1985
On this the 20th day of June 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded ',
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved the third quarterly payment to the Kerr
Central Appraisal District for tax appraisal office expenses for 1985, in the amount of
$23,320.78.
It is ordered by the Court that the County Treasurer and County Auditor be authorized
to draw a voucher on the General Fund, payable to the Kerr Central Appraisal District, in
the above amount.

Commissioner Guthrie, the Court unanimously approved the request of Patricia Dye, County
Clerk, for employment of ORLENE RUTH KITZMAN as an Assistant in the County Clerk's Office,
effective as of July 1st, 1985, at a salary of $840.00 per month (10,080.00 per annum),
payable out of General Fund.

NOTICE FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF COUNTY COURT AT LAW
JUDGE FOR KERR COUNTY
Written applications for the position of County Court at Law Judge shall be filed with the
County Clerk of Kerr County, Texas, in the Kerr County Courthouse no later than 4:00 o'clock
P. M. on July 19th, 1985. Those persons submitting said applications shall be actively
engaged in the practice of law in Kerr County for at least six months prior to the date of
appointment, July 25th, 1985, must be a licensed attorney in this state who has been actively'
engaged in the practice of law for at least two years prior to his appointment, and must
reside in Kerr County during his term of office. In addition, the Judge, from the date of
taking his oath of office, shall not engage in the practice of law.
Each application shall be in writing and be accompanied by a resume. Applicants should be
available on July 25th, 1985, to receive the appointment. The appointee should be available
during the time between appointment and date of taking office to assist in the actual
structuring of the Court, hiring personnel, and the preparation of the 1985-1986 Budget.

tvO. 16130 ACCEPTANCE OF PROPOSAL OF RAY ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR PERSONNEL MANAGEP3ENT CONSULTING
SERVICES FOR KERR COUNTY, TEXAS
~ On this the 20th day of June 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded
by Commissioner Guthrie, the Court unanimously approved acceptance of a Proposal by Ray
Associates, Inc. for Personnel Management Consulting Services for Kerr County, Texas and to
prepare a Kerr County Employee salary/job classification system, to be implemented by the
1985-86 County Budget deadline.
It is ordered by the Court that County Judge Gordon S. Morriss be authorized to execute
a contract on behalf of Kerr County with Ray Associates, Inc.
It is further ordered by the Court that the County Treasurer and County Auditor be
authorized to make five (5) equal monthly payments in the amount of $4,260.00 each, payable
to Ray Associates, Inc., payable out of the General Fund (Professional Services), upon
receipt of invoices and in accordance with the proposed contract and approval by the Commis-
sioners' Court.
(Total cost for services - $21,300.00 - five monthly payments @ $4,260.00).
