COMMISSIONERS' COURT CONVENED IN SPECIAL SESSION MAY 23rd, 1985 at 10:30 o'clock A. M., with the following members present: GORDON S. MORRISS FRED HOLLAND EDWARD D. HIGGINS VICTOR LICH BILLY JOE GUTHRIE, JR. County Judge Commissioner Precinct 1 Commissioner Precinct 2 Commissioner Precinct 3 Commissioner Precinct 4 and the Court having duly opened, the following proceedings were had: NO. 16079 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS AND ACCOUNTS On this the 23rd day of May 1985, came on to be considered by the Court, the various claims and accounts against Kerr County and the various Commissioners' Precincts, which claims and accounts were approved for payment by the County Auditor and County Treasurer, payable out of General, Road and Bridge, Jury, Revenue Sharing Trust, Traffic Safety, Juvenile State Aid and 216th District Probation Funds. Motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded by Commissioner Lich and unanimously approved by the Court that said bills be paid. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 16080 ORDER AUTHORIZING SUPERINTENDENT OF MAINTENANCE TO PLACE "NO PARKING~~SIGNS BETWEEN JAIL ELEVATOR AND WALL, AND TO PAINT CURB RED On this the 23rd day of May 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded by Commissioner Holland, it was unanimously approved by the Court that the Superintendent of Maintenance be authorized to place "NO PARKING" signs between the Jail Elevator and wall, and to paint the curb red, to avoid accidents from vehicles parking in this area. It is further ordered by the Court that no vehicles be permitted to park in the designate3 area, exceot ambulances and fire trucks only, and that the Kerr County Sheriff be authorized to enforce this order. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 16081 AUTHORIZATION FOR PREPARATION OF PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND BID PACKAGE FOR COUNTY COURT-AT-LAW COURTROOM AND OFFICES AND RENOVATION OF EXISTING TAX COLLECTOR'S OFFICE On this the 23rd day of May 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Higgins, seconded by Commissioner Guthrie, the Court unanimously authorized the Architectural Firm of Schubert and Williams, Inc. to draw up specifications for a bid package, for the County Court-at-Law Court- room and offices and renovation of existing Tax Assessor-Collector's Office, to be presented to the Commissioners' Court at a Special Meeting on June 20th, 1985, at which time bids will be authorized and advertised from the bid package. Said authorization is based on the letter and schematic diagram submitted to the Court on this date. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 16082 APPROVAL OF PURCHASE OF FIFTEEN NESS CHAIRS FROM COPIMERCIAL OFFICE SUPPLY, INC., TO BE USED IN THE KERR COUNTY DISTRICT COURTROOM On this the 23rd day of May 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Higgins, seconded by Commissioner Holland, the Court unanimously approved the purchase of fifteen new chairs from Commercial Office Supply, Inc. in the total amount of $1845.00 (123.00 for each chair), to be used in the District Courtroom, which will replace the twelve jury chairs with fourteen, to include alternates, and the witness chair, as requested by the District Judges. It is ordered by the Court that the County Auditor and County Treasurer be authorized to draw a voucher on the General Fund in the amount of $1845.00, payable to Commercial Office Supply, Inc., upon delivery and acceptance. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o
