FOUR On this the 12th day of March 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved acceptance of the Bid of KUENSTLER MACHINERY, for one new loader backhoe for use by the Commissioner of Kerr County Precinct No. Four, in the amount of $29,402.00, without trade-in, as recommended by Don Williamson, County Auditor, said equipment described as follows: One (1) New Case 580D Tractor/Loader/ Backhoe with Case built 207 cu. in., 55 net HP, four cylinder diesel engine; 11L x 16, 10 ply,' i front tires; 17.5 x 24, 6 ply, rear tires; backup alarm; lockup package; slow moving vehicle plaque; horn, heavy duty rubber street pads; lights; 24" heavy duty trenching bucket; 1 cubic yard- 82" loader bucket. This unit has a pressurized Cab with heater and defroster. It is further ordered by the Court that the County Treasurer and County Auditor be authorized to draw a voucher in the above amount, payable to KUENSTLER MACHINERY out of Road & Bridge Prec. 4 Fund, upon delivery, acceptance and approval by the Commissioner of Precinct'' No. Four. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 15984 ACCEPTANCE OF PROPOSAL OF MODULAR JAIL SYSTEMS OF HOUSTON, TEXAS TO BEGIN A PLANNEDI EXPANSION OF THE EXISTING KERR COUNTY JAIL On this the 12th day of March 1985, upon motion made by Commissioner Higgins, seconded by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved that Modular Jail Systems of Houston, Texas, be commissioned to begin a planned expansion of the existing Kerr County Jail, to 21 additional beds, such project to include drawing the plans, obtaining a certificate from the Commission on Jail Standards, and preparing specifications to be included in a bid proposal for such expansion. Such project is to be undertaken by Modular Jail Systems in accordance with the proposal 'I presented to Commissioners' Court on March 11th, 1985, and to be completed within approxi- mately 45 days and submitted free of cost of the County. If, in the event, that the proposal and certification is given to another bidder, then Kerr County will pay a consulting fee of $14,500, which shall be deducted from the cost to be :-- -
