ORDER N0. ~ 15 8 7 4 ~~~ CONSENT TO EMPLOY SECRETARY On this the 14th day of January, 1985, came on to be considered by the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, Texas, the matter of consenting to the employment of a secretary for the County Attorney's off ice, to serve at a rate of compensation to be set by the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, Texas, at the special instance and request of and for a period of time to be determined by County Attorney Gary E. Kersey; and it appearing that a need exists to employ a secretary in the office of the County Attorney, begining January 1, 1985; and it appearing that the said Gary E. Kersey, County Attorney, has recommended the employment of Diane Clarkson as secretary far the office of County Attorney effective January 1, 1985; it is hereby ordered upon motion of Commissioner ~ Holland ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ seconded by Commissioner _~Higgins ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~, and unanimously approved by the Court, that the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County grant its consent to the employment of Diane Clarkson as secretary to the office of County Attorney effective January 1, 1985; the said Diane Clarkson to serve at the will of the said County Attorney. I wish to employ Diane Clarkson as the County Attorney's secretary at the above stated starting salary, I feel this is justified because Diane Clarkson has previous experience working for Federal Magistrates doe Leonard, Jahn P. Giles and Frank Baskin in the Federal Courthouse in San Antonia, Texas. Ms. Clarkson worked far these Magistrates for a period of 2 i/2 years, and during said time dealt exclusively with Federal criminal cases, including all aspects of same from intake to disposition. Ms. Clarkson also has experience working as a legal secretary far Mr. Phil Hamner, an attorney in San Antonio, Texas.
