BE IT REMEMBERED at an Emergency Meeting of the Commissioners' Court of
Kerr County held on the 12th day of September, 1986, on motion made by Commissioner
Guthrie
and seconded by Commissioner Higgins
the following Resolution was adopted:
WHEREAS, the Commissioners' Court is the governing body and the authorized
legal authority of the County of Kerr;
WHEREAS, the Commissioners' Court is hereby endorsing and approve the
BRIDGE LOAD POSTING AGREEMENT, dated September 12, 1986, between the STATE OF
TEXAS AND COUNTY OF KERB;
WHEREAS, the Commissioners' Court hereby authorizes the County Judge to sign
all transactions with reference to this project and on behalf of the County of Kerr
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; that the County of Kerr will comply with the
Agreement between the State of Texas and the County of Kerr.

WEIGHT LIMIT SIGNS
A Weight Limit sign shall be located just ahead of the bridge in
each direction of travel. Six feet from the abutment is a good
location if the bridge is on an unpaved or low-speed road. This
distance should be increased if the bridge is on a high-speed
road.

ADVANCE WARNING SIGN
The Load Zone Bridge sign should be used to warn of a bridge with
a posted weight restriction. The sign should be placed so as to
allow the driver of an overweight vehicle to detour around the
bridge. It is also recommended that a WEIGHT LIMIT sign be
placed beside or 100 feet behind each advance warning sign.
