you in an attempt to make the program work in our county. Effective October 15, 1986, we
will deviate from the contracted prices and utilize the following price structure:
1. Emergency transfers $90.00
2. Routine transfers 70.00
3. In Kerr County mileage 1.50 per mile
4. Out of Kerr County mileage 2.00 per mile
5. Waiting time 25.00 per hour
The above rates are all subject to a ten percent (10~) discount, making them the same as the
current payments that we receive from Medicade.
In addition, if we are allowed to schedule the transfers on a return trip to Kerrville, we
can make a further reduction in rates and allow the following rates:
1. Transfer fee
2. Mileage rate
$70.00
1.50 per mile
Again, the ten percent (10~) discount will apply to these rates. However, I stress that these
rates will only apply in cases where we can haul indigent care patients on a return trip to
Kerrville.
In conjunction with the indigent care program, we also will honor your request for a discount
rate for the prisoners taken from the jail to Sid Peterson Hospital. This rate will be the
$90.00 fee, less a ten percent (lOg) discount, again in conformity with the Medicade rate.
If these rates meet with your approval and that of the Commissioners' Court, please send me
an acceptance letter as soon as possible, so that we can implement the billing process for
this program. Also, as I told you, it would certainly aid our billing process if we could
have a list of the people who are qualified for this program so that the billing is correct.

On this the 14th day of October 1986, upon motion made by Commissioner Lich, seconded
by Commissioner Higgins, the Court unanimously approved that Joseph Mennella, Assistant
Director of Public Works be authorized to negotiate with Reichenau Bros. to line the next
area of the Landfill at a cost not to exceed $4,000.00.

NO. 16894 APPROVAL OF PRELIMINARY PLAT OF DOS ROBLES
On this the 14th day of October 1986, upon motion made by Commissioner Lich, seconded
by Commissioner Guthrie, the Court unanimously approved the PRELIMINARY PLAT OF DOS ROBLES,
with no variances, located in Kerr County Commissioner's Precinct No. Three, and that all
improvements that are to be made shall comply with the existing KERB COUNTY SUBDIVISION
"RULES AND REGULATIONS" that became effective January 1st, 1984 and amendments to the
regulations that were approved by the Commissioners' Court on April 9th, 1984.
