and the Court having duly opened, the following proceedings were had:
The taking and receiving of bids for construction of a JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER on the ;
third floor of the Kerr County Courthouse, Kerrville, Texas, was declared closed at this time.
Two Bids were received, listed as follows:

NO. 16665 BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER ON THE THIRD FLOOR OF
THE KERR COUNTY COURTHOUSE, KERRVILLE, TEXAS, REFERRED TO COUNTY AUDITOR AND
ARCHITECT WALKER FOR STUDY AND RECOMMENDATIONS
On this the 22nd day of May 1986, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved that bids received for the construction
of a Juvenile Detention Center on the third floor of the Kerr County Courthouse, Kerrville,
Texas, be referred to the County Auditor and the Architect (Michael N. Walker) for study and
recommendations.

N0. 16666 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS AND ACCOUNTS
On this the 22nd day of May 1986, came on to be considered by the Court the various
claims and accounts against Kerr County and the various Commissioners' Precincts, which
claims and accounts were approved for payment by the Auditor and Treasurer, payable out of
of the General, Jury, Road & Bridge, Public Library, and Traffic Safety.
Motion made by Commissioner Higgins, seconded by Commissioner Holland, and unanimously
approved by the Court that said bills be paid.

N0. 16667 RESOLUTION REGARDING TAX REFORM ACT OF 1985 - H. R. 3838 TABLED
On this the 22nd day of May 1986, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by
Commissioner Higgins, it was unanimously approved by the Court that a proposed Resolution
Regarding Tax Reform Act of 1985 - H. R. 3838, be tabled.

N0. 16668 KERR COUNTY ROAD ADMINISTRATOR JACK C. SMITH AUTHORIZED TO SIGN AS THE DESIGNATED
OFFICIAL ON ALL SUBDIVISION PLATS
On this the 22nd day of May 1986, upon motion made by Commissioner Higgins, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved that Kerr County Road Administrator
Jack C. Smith be authorized to sign as the Designated Official on all Subdivision Plats,
effective this date, May 22nd, 1986, signifying his approval pertaining to roadways, drainage
situation, and easements.

N0. 16669 RESIGNATION OF DENNIS PIEPER AS JAILER/DISPATCHER, EFFECTIVE MAY 2nd, 1986
On this the 22nd day of May 1986, upon motion made by Commissioner fiolland, seconded by

NO. 16670 AUDITOR'S REQUEST TO MOVE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SECTION TO COURTHOUSE BASEMENT
On this the 22nd day of May 1986, upon motion made by Commissioner Lich, seconded by
Commissioner Higgins, it was unanimously approved by the Court that the Auditor's request
to move the Accounts Payable Section to the Courthouse Basement, be tabled.

~,~ DIO. 16671 APPROVAL OF EMPLOYMENT OF CATHERINE L. RITTER AS ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO KERR
COUNTY ROAD ADMINISTRATOR JACK C. SMITH
On this the 22nd day of May 1986, upon motion made by Commissioner Higgins, seconded
by Commissioner Holland, the Court unanimously approved the employment of CATHERINE L.
RITTER as Administrative Assistant to Kerr County Rpad Administrator Jack C. Smith, effective
as of June 1st, 1986, at a salary of $15,812.00 per annum, $1317.67 per month - $658.83
semi-monthly, payable out of Road and Bridge Fund.

NO. 16672 APPROVAL OF PRELIMINARY PLAT OF SHERMAN'S MILL II, KERR COUNTY, TEXAS
On this the 22nd day of May 1986, upon motion made by Commissioner Higgins, seconded

voting "AYE" and Commissioner Lich voting "NAY", said motion carrying by a majority vote,

approving the PRELIMINARY PLAT OF SHERMAN`S MILL II, KERR COUNTY, TEXAS, with no variances,

~' located in Kerr County Commissioner's Precinct No. 4, and that all improvements that are to
be made shall comply with the existing KERR COUNTY SUBDIVISION "RULES AND REGULATIONS" that
became effective January 1st, 1984 and amendments to the regulations that were approved by
the Commissioners' Court on April 9th, 1984.

RANCHES NO. ONE, with no variances, located in Kerr County Commissioner's Precinct No. One,
and that all improvements that are to be made shall comply with the existing KERB COUNTY
SUBDIVISION "RULES AND REGULATIONS" that became effective January 1st, 1984 and amendmentts
to the regulations that were approved by the Commissioners' Court on April 9th, 1984.
