NO. 16552 APPOINTMENT OF FRED HOLLAND, COMMISSIONER OF KERR COUNTY PRECINCT N0. ONE, AS
THE OFFICIAL VOTING REPRESENTATIVE TO THE ALAMO AREA COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS
On this the 10th day of March 1986, upon motion made by County Judge Morriss, seconded
by Commissioner Higgins, the Court unanimously approved the appointment of Fred Holland,
Commissioner of Kerr County Precinct No. One, as the official voting representative to the
Alamo Area Council of Governments.

NO. 16553 APPROVAL OF ADDITIONAL POSTAGE FOR SHERIFF CLIFTON A. GREESON
On this the 10th day of March 1986, upon motion made by Commissioner Guthrie, seconded
by Commissioner Holland, the Court unanimously approved that the County Treasurer and County
Auditor be authorized to draw a voucher on the General Fund, payable to Sheriff Clifton A.
Greeson in the amount of $100.00 for additional postage for excessive jury summons.

considered by the Court, finds that said reports be accepted and filed with the County Clerk
for future reference and subject to audit.

'' Whereas, well-meaning school reforms, passed in 1984, been used as an excuse to bring Voca-
~ tional Agriculture and its companion program, Future Farmers of America, to a point where
many of their activities face reduction or curtailment statewide, and.
Whereas, Vocational Agriculture and Future Farmers of America are worth the effort to save
i because of their intrinsic value to the rural and urban education process, and
Whereas, Texas Agriculture Commissioner Jim Hightower and other leaders in Texas government
and the private sector have initiated a plan to restore funding to the now non-existent
Vo-Ag field staff operations, and
I Whereas the plan to restore field staff positions would only replace six of the 15 lost
positions at a cost of less than $200,000 per year to the State of Texas, therefore
Be it resolved that the Commissioners Court of the County of Kerr is sympathetic to the
