APPROVAL OF MONTHLY PAYMENTS FOR DICTATING EQUIPMENT LEASE
FOR THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY OF THE 216th JUDICIAL DISTRICT
On this the 23rd. day of October 1986, upon motion made by
Commissioner Holland , seconded by Commissioner Guthrie,
the Court unanimously apAroved payments for Dictating
Equipment Lease for the District Attorney of the 216th
Judicial District in the amount of $46.78 per month.
It is ordered by the Court that the County Treasurer and
County Auditor be authorized to draw a voucher in the
above amount payable monthly to the District Attorney of
the 216th Judicial District, payable out of the General
Fund.
(Office rental of $850.00 remains the same - as shown in
Order No. 15858 dated 1/14/1985.)

Re: Dictating equipment lease
Dear Judge Morriss:
In the 1986-87 Kerr County budget please note that the item
denoted "Lease of Office Machines" was reduced in amount for the
upcoming year from last year's budget due to termination of lease
payments on word processing equipment.
Accordingly, this is to request that the monthly payment for
this particular expenditure be in the amount of $46.78. The office
rental of $850.00 would remain the same.

APPROVAL OF FUNDING REQUEST FOR THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY OF THE
216TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT
On this the 14th day of January 1985, upon motion made by
Commissioner Higgins seconded by Commissioner Guthrie ,
the Court unanimously approved the funding request for the
District Attorney of the 216th Judicial District, and pursuant
to the 1984-85 Budget for Kerr County pertaining to the District
Attorney's Office, the Court unanimously approved the funding
request and authorizing the County Treasurer and County Auditor
to issue automatic monthly payments (payable on the first day
of the month, beginning February 1st, 1985, unless otherwise
noted and payable out of the General Fund, as follows:
1. Salary, of Kay Brown, Secretary - $984,00 per month,
beginning January 1st, 1985
2. To E. Bruce Curry, District Attorney, 216th Judicial
District:
a. Office rental - $850.00 per month (beginning
January 1st, 1985)
b. Office machinery & dictating equipment - $412.49
per month (beginning January 1st, 1985)
c. Lease of word processor, together with maintenance
contract (approximately $80.00 per month (beginning
January 1st, 1985)
d. Juvenile Board Supplementary funds - $200.00 per

Gentlemen:
Pursuant to the 1984-85 Budget for Kerr County pertaining to the district
attorneys offices for the 216th and 198th Judicial Districts, I would like to hereby
request authorization for funding by the County Treasurer's office as follows:
AUTOMATIC MONTHLY PAYMENTS {payable on the 1st of the month beginning
February 1, 1985, unless otherwise noted):
1. Salaries:
Kay Brown (secretary) - $984.00/month ''. h:~

It has come to our attention since our presentation was made to the Court
that some items were not assessed properly or not included at all. The amount budgeted

for photocopier will be adequate to operate and maintain the machine, however it
appears that Lhe monthly rental on the photocopier itself may exceed expectations. It
is my understanding that a representative from Savin will be present at this Court
meeting and may be able to advise as Lo the appropriate amount required.
Finally, with the two secretaries it will be much more functional to have two
word processors in use. I possess a word processor similar to the one being leased in
our budget. If agreeable I would personally lease this to the office for an amount to j
offset equipment depreciation, together with the maintenance contract (approximately
$80/month).
Subject to the monthly lease of the second word processor, we would ask that
these items ail be payable on a schedule based on presentation of invoice.
