IN THE AMOUNT OF $437.44 On this the 12th day of September 1986, upon motion made by Commissioner Higgins , seconded by Commissioner Holland, the Court unanimously approved a reimbursement to EDDIE R. HOLLAND, COUNTY EXTENSION AGENT, in the amount of $437.44, which is a portion of expenses incurred at the Texas County Agricultural Agents Association and the National Association of County Agricultural Agents (Registration and Lodging), payable out of the General Fund (10-665-426). Texas Agricultural Extension Service The Taxes A8M UniveralN System CowTty Courthouse Basement Kerrville, Texas 78028 September 4, 1986 To: Kerr County Commissioners Court As you all know, I am becoming very involved with the 'texas County Agricul- tural Agents Association ('r.C.A.A.A.) and the National Association of County Agricultural Agents (N.A.C.A.A.). I a~n an alternate director for District 13 to the T. C. A, A. A. and a national committeeman for the Professional Training Commit- tee. The llirectors of the T. C. A.A.A. have ,elected me to be the National Meeting Chairman for a national county agents meeting to be held in Texas in 1992. 17Tis will be only the second national meeting to be held in Texas. I attend these meetings eac1T year as part of my professional improvement training as a county extension agent. As you ]oTOw, this year I won 1st place in state, regional and national competition in Turlgrass }lorticulture. I was also a state wimrer in urban programs. This was the first time I entered the N.A.C.A.A. awards program and I won a total of 12 1st, 2nd and 3rd plar_es at the state level. I am making plans to enter again next year. Many of the ideas for programs to have in Kerr County come Irom attending the National and State Conventions. I am also hoping to have the State County Agents Association Meeting in Kerr- ville when District 13's time comes aro wrd again. Some day I hope Kerr CowTty can say they had the State and National President of the CowTty Agents Association. The 1986 cowTty budget for out of cowTty travel for stock shows has a balance of about $450.00 left over because of not attending one stockshow, eating at Mc})onalds and 4-N leaders still picking up the tab for srmTe motels and meals. I would like to ask the Court to pay sane of my expenses out of the left over bud- geted portion. These expenses are only for my registrations, meals and motel bills. These do riot include my family except for sharing the motel room. Respectively submitted, L Eddie R.
