On this the 21st day of December 1987, upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved the execution of a Contract for Verde
Creek Bridge on Elm Pass Road, between the State Department of Highways and Transportation and.
~, Kerr County, and that County Judge Edwards be authorized to execute the contract on behalf

of Kerr County.
It is ordered by the Court that the County Treasurer and County Auditor be authorized
to draw a voucher on the Road and Bridge Fund in the amount of $37,800.00, which is 10~ oŁ
the County's portion oŁ $378,000.00 of the estimated cost.

Program - Projects (2) - Guadalupe River on Lane Valley Road and Project (3) Guadalupe River

NO. 17626 APPROVAL OF CONTRACT FOR DETENTION SERVICES BETWEEN KENDALL COUNTY, CJD GRANTEE,
GRANT NO. JA87-C03-1459 AND KERR COUNTY, SERVICE AGENCY
On this the 21st day of December 1987, upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded
by Commissioner Baldwin, the Court unanimously approved a Contract for Detention Services,
' between Kendall County, CJD Grantee, Grant No. 3A87-CO3-1459, and Kerr County, hereinafter
called Service Agency.
The Service Agency agrees to provide Juvenile Detention Services as required by Title
3 of The Texas Family Code, in an amount not to exceed $50.00 per client per day, effective
as of November 24th, 1987.
It is ordered by the Court that the County Judge, Danny R. Edwards, be authorized to
execute said Contract on behalf of Kerr County.

PROBATION DEPARTMENT AND KERR COUNTY DETENTION CENTER
On this the 21st day of December 1987, upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved a Contract for Detention Services,
between Medina County Juvenile Probation Department and Kerr County Detention Center, Service
Agency.
The Service Agency agrees to provide Juvenile Detention Services in an amount not to
exceed $50.00 per client per day, effective as of December 21st, 1987.
It is ordered by the Court that the County Judge, Danny R. Edwards, be authorized to
execute said Contract on behalf of Kerr County.

NO. 17630 PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEES FOR THREE COMMISSIONERS AND COUNTY JUDGE TO ATTEND
THE 30TH ANNUAL COUNTY JUDGES AND COMMISSIONERS' CONVERENCE AT TEXAS A & M
On this the 21st day of December 1987, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded
by Commissioner Baldwin, the Court unanimously approved payment of registration fees for three
Kerr County Commissioners and the County Judge in the amount of $220.00 ($55.00 each member),
payable to the V. G. Young Institute of County Government, for the 30th Annual County Judges
and Commissioners' Conference at TEXAS A & M.
It is ordered by the Court that the County Treasurer and County Auditor be authorized to
draw a voucher on the General Fund in the above amount, payable to V. G. Young Institute of
County Government. (Conference to be held January 25th, 26th and 27th, 1988.)

On this the 21st day of December 1987, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded
by Commissioner Baldwin, the Court unanimously approved the request of GERALD L7. MENEFEE,
KERR COUNTY ROAD ENGINEER, for training of the Road and Bridge Crews in CPR, at a cost of
approximately $200.00 for workbooks, and that the budget for the Road and Bridge Department be
amended by increasing an amount of $200.00 and creating a new line item for training -

On this the 21st day of December 1987, upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved the request of Patricia E. Knox, Justice
of the Peace of Precinct One, for the employment of RIVA ANN WHEELER as a Clerk, effective as
of December 21st, 1987, at a salary of $12,232.11 per annum, $1019.34 per month, $509.67 semi-
monthly, payable out of General Fund.
