voting "NAY", said motion carrying by a majority vote, approving a Resolution of the Commissioners' Court of Kerr
i County, Texas, authorizing the submission of a Texas Conunw'iity Development Program to the Texas Department of
'.Community Affairs for the COMNIIJNITY DEVELOPt4ENT PROJEC'P FUND; (with revision of Paragraph 4 of Resolution), and
.authorizing the County Judge to act in all matters pertaining to the County's participation in the Community

i DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVEIAPMFSIT PROJECT FUND; AND
AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY JUDGE TO ACT IN ALL MA7'TER.S PERTAINING TO THE COUNTY'S PARTICIPATION IN THE CONY~UNITY
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County desires to develop a viable community,
including decent roads and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities,
principally for persons of low/moderate income; and
WHEREAS, certain conditions exist which represent a threat to the public health and safet}r,
and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and in the best interest of Kerr County to apply for funding
,.under the 1987 Texas Community Development Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSIONER'S COURT OF KERR COUNTY, TEXAS;
1. That a Texas Community Development Program Application Community Development Project
Funding is hereby authorized to be filed on the behalf of the County with the Texas Department
', of Community Affairs.
2. That the County's Application be placed in competition for funding under the Communit}Y
,.Development Project Fund.
3. That the Application be for $268,700 of Grant Funds to carry out STREET WIDENING AND
PAVING on Ranchero Road in Kerrville, Kerrville South, Kerr County, Texas between State Hwy. 16
to Intersection of Monroe Drive and Ranchero Road.
4. That Kerr County has committed to providing Engineering and General Administration
j' Services.
' 5. That the Texas State Highway Department has committed $30,000.00 toward construction
of a right turn lane off State Highway 16 to Ranchero Road at the east end of the Project Area,
~' 6. That the Commissioners' Court directs and designates the County Judge as the County's
Chief Executive Officer and Authorized Representative to act in all matters in connection with
this Application and the County's participation in the Texas Community Development Program.

WHEREAS: The Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, Texas, pursuant to the authority
granted by Article 664-7, V.T.C.S., as amended, desires to participate in described purchasing
programs of the State Purchasing and General Services Commission, and
', WHEREAS: The Commissioners' Court is of the opinion that participation in these --
programs will be highly beneficial to the taxpayers of this County, through the anticipated
savings to be realized; now, therefore, be it
