On this the 31st day of August 1987, upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved the requests of Sheriff Clifton A.
Greeson, for purchase of one 1982 Chevrolet Caprice and one 1984 Chevrolet Impala, for use
by the Kerr County Sheriff's Department, from BRYANT MOTORS, listed as follows:
1982 Chevrolet Caprice 4 door sedan VIN #2G1AN69H4C1166296, with trade-in
of one 1981 Ford VIN #1FABP3IGSBU157462, in the amount of $3,600.00,
and
19.84 Chevrolet Impala 4 dr. sedan VIN #2G1AL6964E9160054, with trade-in of
one 1982 Dodge Diplomat VIN #E2B3BG26N8CR157340, in the amount of $4,600.00.
It is ordered by the Court that the County Treasurer and County Auditor be authorized
to draw two separate vouchers on the General Fund in the above amounts, payable to BRYANT
MOTORS.

A Public Hearing on the proposed operating budget of Kerr County for the Fiscal
Year, beginning October 1st, 1987 will be held in the County Courtroom on Tuesday, September

Motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Baldwin, that the public
hearing be adjourned, and unanimously approved by the Court.
The public hearing adjourned September 8th, 1987 at 12:15 P. M.

P. M. at the conclusion of the Budget Hearing, with all members of the Court present, and the
following proceedings were had:
N0. 17440 ADOPTION OF PROPOSED OPERATING BUDGET FOR KERR COUNTY, TEXAS, FOR FISCAL YEAR,
OCTOBER 1st, 1987 '
On this the 8th day of September 1987, came on to be considered by the Court the public
hearing in the matter of the adoption of the County Budget for the fiscal year, beginning

October 1st, 1987.
It appearing to the Court that proper notices have been posted, and after thorough
examination by the Court and the consideration of the public interest of the community, the
Court is of the opinion that the Proposed Operating Budget for Kerr County, Texas, for the
fiscal year beginning October 1st, 1987 should be approved.
Therefore, on motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Ray, with
', Commissioners Holland, Ray and Lich and County Judge Edwards voting "AYE" and Commissioner
Baldwin voting "NAY", said motion carrying by a majority vote, approving the adoption of the
County Budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1st, 1987.

COMMISSIONERS' COURT RECONVENED SEPTEMBER 8th, 1987 at 12:20 P. hi., with all
members present, at which time a public hearing was held on the proposal to increase tax
revenues from properties on the tax roll in 1987 by 12.64 percent, with 4.64 of the increase
to be used to pay the continuing services required by the Texas Legislature in the Indigent
Health Care and Treatment Act (which became effective 9-1-1986).
5 members of the public were present at the public hearing.
Motion by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Lich and unanimously approved
by the Court that the public hearing be adjourned.

NOTICE OF VOTE ON TAX RATE
The Kerr County Commissioners' Court conducted a public hearing on a proposal to increase
your property taxes by 12.64 per cent on September 8th, 1987.
4.64 percent of the increase will be used to pay for services required by the Texas
Legislature in the Indigent Health Care and Treatment Act.
A public meeting to vote on the tax rate will be held on September 14th, 1987 at 10:00
o'clock A. M. in the County Courtroom of the Kerr County
