COMMISSIONERS' COURT CONVENED IN SPECIAL SESSION ON AUGUST 20th, 1987 at 9:00
o'clock A. M., with the following members present:
DANNY R. ED47ARDS	County Judge

BILL RAY	Commissioner	Precinct	2
VICTOR LICH	Commissioner	Precinct	3
H. A. BALDWIN	Commissioner	Precinct	4
and the Court having duly opened, the following proceedings were had:
NO. 17406 R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS: the Citizens of Kerr County, Texas did adopt a one-half percent County Sales
and Use Tax within the County of Kerr to be used to reduce the County
Property Tax Rate; and
WHEREAS: this election was held on Saturday, August 8, 1987; and
WHEREAS: a total number of votes cast were 1717; and
L•dHEREAS: the total number of votes "FOR" was 1167
the total number of votes "AGAINST" were 550
proposition carried by a margin of 617; and
WHEREAS: the votes cast in this election were canvassed and tabulated in open court
by the members of the Kerr County Commissioners' Court on the 10th day of
August, 1987, under ORDER NO. 17403;
RESOLVED: that the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County directs that such order and
vote of the people shall become effective on January 1, 1988.
Motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner Baldwin, and
unanimously approved by the Court.

NO. 17407 APPROVAL OF PAYMENT TO DEBRA HERNANDEZ, COURT REPORTER, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $1052.40
On this the 20th day of August 1987, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland,
seconded by Commissioner Baldwin, with Commissioners Holland, Baldwin and County Judge
Edwards voting "AYE" and Commissioners Ray and Lich voting "NAY", said motion carrying
by a majority vote, approving payment to DEBRA HERNANDEZ, Court Reporter, in the amount of
$1,052.40 for statement of facts in Cause No. 86-CR-1335 and Cause No. 86-CR-1337.
It is ordered by the Court that the County Auditor and County Treasurer be authorized
to draw a voucher on the General Fund in the above amount, payable to Debra Hernandez,
Court Reporter.

NO. 17408 APPROVAL OF PRELIMINARY PLAT OF H. COOPER ADDITION
On this the 20th day of August 1987, upon motion made by Commissioner Baldwin, s~onded
by Commissioner Holland, the Court unanimously approved the PRELIMINARY PLAT OF H. COOPER
ADDITION, with no variances, located in Kerr County Conunissioner's Precinct No. Four.
All improvements that are to be made shall comply with the existing KERR COUNTY SUB-
DIVISION "RULES AND REGULATIONS" that became effective January 1st, 1984 and amendments to
the regulations that were approved by the Kerr County Commissioners' Court on A ril 9th, 1984.'
