Motion made by Commissioner Baldwin, seconded by Commissioner Holland, the Court
unanimously approved the Annual Reports of the Tax Assessor-Collector, Doris Lee Smith, for
the tax year 1986, ending June 30th, 1987.

LdO. 17396 APPROVAL OF CONTRACT FOR DETENTION OF JUVENILE OFFENDERS FROM UVALDE COUNTY
On this the 10th day of August 1987, came on to be considered by the Court the matter
of request from the COUNTY OF UVALDE that Kerr County Juvenile Detention Center provide
detention facilities for juveniles from Uvalde County, and contract with proposed fees of
$50.00 per day per child for such services.
Upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner Holland, the Court
unanimously approved Contract for Detention of Juvenile Offenders, by and between the COUNTY
OF KERR and the COUNTY OF UVALDE for one year, commencing on the 17th day of July 1987 and
terminating on the 16th day of July 1988, with option by either party to terminate contract
upon thirty calendar days' written notice to the other party.
It is further ordered by the court that County Judge Danny R. Edwards execute the
contract on behalf of Kerr County.

NO. 17397 APPROVAL OF $5.00 OPTIONAL COUNTY REGISTRATION FEE, EFFECTIVE AS OF JANUARY 1st,
1988
On this the 10th day of August 1987, upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded by
Commissioner Lich, with Commissioners Ray, Lich and Baldwin and County Judge Edwards voting
"AYE" and Commissioner Holland "ABSTAINING FROM VOTING", said motion carrying by a majority
vote, it was approved by the Court that Kerr County impose a $5.00 Optional County Registra- '
tion Fee for vehicles registered in the County, effective January 1st, 1988, in accordance
with House Bill 327, passed by the 70th Legislature, Regular Session, 1987 (Article 6675a-9a,
Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes.)

NO. 17398 ORDER APPROVING PAYMENT OF ELECTION OFFICERS AND RENT, ETC., FOR USE OF BUILDINGS
IN HOLDING SPECIAL ELECTION ON AUGUST 8th, 1987
On this the 10th day of August 1987, upon motion made by Commissioner Lich, seconded
by Commissioner Ray, the Court unanimously approved the payment of claims of the Election
Officials as per claims on file, at $4.00 per hour and the Presiding Judges $20.00 for bring-
ing in the returns of the Election, including the Absentee Box, and payments to various
places for use of buildings, lights, etc., in holding the Special Election on August 8th,
1987.
