N0. 17330 ORDER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SUPPLYING REINFORCING STEEL ON THE RANCHERO ROAD
PROJECT
On this the 25th day of June 1987, at the request of Gerald W. Menefee, Kerr County
Road Engineer, and upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Lich,
the Court unanimously approved that the Road Engineer be authorized to advertise for bids
on supplying reinforcing steel to be used by the Road and Bridge Department in reconstructing
low water crossing over and beyond Camp Meeting Creek, on the Ranchero Road Project.
Specifications are on file in the office of the County Road Engineer, at the Kerr County,
Courthouse.
Bids will be accepted until Monday, July 13th, 1987 at 9:00 o'clock A. M. in the office
of the County Road Engineer.
Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on July 13th, 1987 at 10:00 o'clock A. M.,
in the Regular Session of Commissioners' Court.
Kerr County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

On this the 25th day of June 1987, came on to be considered by the Court the matter of

request from Chas. Schreiner Bank that Kerr County release certain securities pledged by said
Bank to secure funds on deposit by Kerr County; and it appearing to the Court that said
securities should be released as requested; it is therefore ordered on motion by Commissioner
Lich, seconded by Commissioner Holland, and unanimously approved by the Court that the request

!NO. 17333 APPROVAL OF CONTRACT FOR DETENTION OF JUVENILE OFFENDERS FROM MEDINA COUNTY
On this the 25th day of June 1987, came on to be considered by the Court the matter of
'', request from the COUNTY OF MEDINA that Kerr County Juvenile Detention Center provide detention
I,, facilities for juveniles from Medina County, and contract with proposed fees of $50.00 per day
', per child for such services.
Upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by County Judge Edwards, the Court
' unanimously approved Contract for Detention of Juvenile Offenders by and between the COUNTY OF
KERR and the COUNTY OF MEDINA for one year, commencing on 15th day of June, 1987, and termina-
ting on the 14th day of June, 1988, with option by either party to terminate contract upon
thirty calendar days' written notice to the other party. It was further ordered that County
Judge Danny R. Edwards execute the contract on behalf of Kerr County.

N0. 17334 APPROVAL OF EMPLOYMENT OF GAIL N. MATTER IN THE ROAD AND BRIDGE DEPARTMENT
On this the 25th day of June 1987, upon motion by Commissioner Lich, seconded by Commis-
sinner Holland, the Court unanimously approved the request of Gerald W. Menefee, County Road
' Engineer, for employment of GAIL N. MATTER as an EQUIPMENT OPERATOR in the Road and Bridge
Department, to be effective on the date he reports for work -- but in no event to be later
than July 15, 1987 -- at a salary of $6.12 per hour (PAY GROUP 12 Step 1), payable out of the
'' Road and Bridge Fund.
