Upon recommendation of Gerald W. Menefee to select bid of HENRY GRIFFIN as being best bid submitted, motion was made by Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner Holland, and unanimously approved by the Court accepting bid of HENRY GRIFFIN for aggregate to be used as flexible base material by Road and Bridge Department (primarily around Nimitz School area) at a price of $3.00 per cubic yard picked up at plant, and $6.00 per cubic yard delivered anywhere in Kerr County. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 17325 COUNTY ROAD ENGINEER AUTHORIZED TO EMPLOY PART-TIME HELP IN ROAD & BRIDGE DEPARTMENT TO MAKE FLOOD DAMAGE REPAIRS On this the 22nd day of June 1987, Kerr County Road Engineer Gerald W. Menefee proposed employing approximately eight men at up to $6.12 per hour as part-time help for Road and --- Bridge Department in making flood damage repairs to roads in Kerr County; and the transfer of $22,000.00 to Account No. 15-611-108 (PART-TIME SALARIES) for salaries for the part-time help, which amount would be transferred from FLOOD DAMAGE REPAIRS FUND (Account No. 15-611-459)•. Motion was made by Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner Holland, with Commissioners IIOlland, Ray, and County Judge Edwards voting "AYE", Commissioners Lich and Baldwin voting "NAY", above motion was approved by a majority vote. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 17326 ORDER AUTHORIZING UGRA TO ACT AS THE MANAGING AGENT FOR FILING APPLICATION TO OBTAIN A GRANT, FUNDING COST OF STUDY RE: IMPROVING AND/OR CORRECTING THE WASTE DISPOSAL PROBLEMS EXISTING IN KERRVILLE SOUTH On this the 22nd day of June 1987, upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner Lich, with Commissioners Ray, Lich, Baldwin and County Judge voting "AYE" and Commissioner Holland "ABSTAINING FROM VOTING", said motion passing by a majority vote, the Court authorized UGRA (UPPER GUADALUPE RIVER AUTHORITY) to act as the managing agent for the filing of an application to obtain a grant, funding the cost of a study to determine the alternative available means of improving and/or correcting the waste disposal problems exist- ing in Kerrville South; and further ordered by the Court that the County Judge, Danny R. Kersey, to prepare a lease agreement pursuant to ninety-nine years at $1.00 per year for land owned by Harry Schwethelm, land to be used by Kerrville South Volunteer Fire Department for placement of a building, with the understanding that the building would remain with the Fire Department or succeeding fire department, but land would revert to Harry Schwethelm if land is no longer used for or by a Volunteer Fire Department. = NO.
