Pursuant to Article 6703 and 6705 of Vernon's Annonated Texas Civil Statutes, the
undersigned, being freeholders in Commissioners Precinct 3 of Kerr County, Texas, hereby
petition said Court to abandon a public roadway easement in Kerr County, Texas. The public
roadway easement sought to be abandoned is described as follows:
That particular roadway easement, which is depicted on that certain plat of Hill
Country Ranch Estates Section Two, a subdivision of Kerr County, Texas, of record
in Volume 3, Page 30, of the Plat Records of Kerr County, Texas, the easement to be
abandoned being between Lots 13 and 14 of such subdivision.
The undersigned would show the Court that the abandonment of the above-described ease-
ment as a public roadway will serve the public interest of Kerr County, Texas, and specifi-

" WHEREAS, A Petition for Abandonment and to permanently close a certain easement in
Precinct No. 3 was previously filed with the Commissioner's Court of Kerr County, Texas,
pursuant to Article 6702-1 Sec. 2.003, V.A.C.5., the easement concerned referred to in such
Petition as an unnamed easement which is depicted on that certain plat of Hill Country Ranch
Estates of record in Volume 3, Page 30, of the Plat Records of Kerr County, Texas, the ease-

of the Commissioner's Court of Kerr County, Texas, convened in accordance with all required
notices, procedures, and other legal requirements, the aforesaid Petition was duly considered
by the said Commissioner's Court, and the Commissioners elected thereupon duly made the
following findings:
1. That it would be expedient to abandon said easement;
2. That the public interest will be better served by making such change and by dis-
continuing and abandoning such easement; and

3. That all re uirements of the State of Texas both as to law and procedure and all
', prerequisites for the aforementioned change and discontinuance and abandonment of said
!i easement having been duly met and that all such requirements have been substantially complied

Kerr County receives invaluable benefits from the Texas Agricultural Extension Service
through educational programs that address critical issues identified by county leaders.
WHEREAS
The Texas Agricultural Extension Service in Kerr County and the State of Texas can be
and is a part of the solution to the economic problem; that they can and will help generate
money.
WHEREAS
Kerr County Commissioners oppose the reductions in funding for the agricultural agencies
of the Texas A&M System; especially those serving rural Texas.
THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Kerr County Commissioners Court ask the Governor of the State
of Texas to support revenue necessary to continue higher education, including agencies of
the Texas A&M System and especially the Texas Agricultural Extension Service which is an
integral part of prosperity in Kerr County.
