Upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner Baldwin, the Court unani- mously approved the hiring of a Secretary to the Department of Public Safety, at a salary not to exceed $6,000.00 for the balance of the fiscal year, a Secretary to the Commissioners' Court, at a salary not to exceed $7,500.00 for the balance of the fiscal year, and that the travel allowance of Don McClure, Constable of Justice Precinct No. One, be increased by $600.00 ($100.00 per month), effective as of April 1st, 1987, for the balance of the fiscal year.
