On this the 19th day of February 1987, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded
by Commissioner Baldwin, the Court unanimously approved to adjourn the Commissioners` Court
Meeting.

COMMISSIONERS' COURT CONVENED IN SPECIAL SESSION ON MONDAY, February 23rd, 1987
at 10:30 o'clock A. M. in the County Courtroom, at which time it was decided to move the
hearing to the County Court at Law Courtroom, in order to accomodate seating capacity for the
public.
All members of the Commissioners' Court were present at the hearing.
Approximately 80 members of the public were present.
Approximately 25 members of the public addressed the Court and expressed their
opinions.
After those who addressed the Court were heard, the hearing adjourned.

1987 at 10:00 o'clock A. M., with the following officers present:

and the Court having duly opened, the following proceedings were had:
NO. 17139 ORDER AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF A DEFIBRILLATOR FROM DIXIE USA, INC., SUBJECT TO
COUNTY ATTORNEY GIVING APPROVAL THAT THIS DOES NOT VIOLATE THE BID REQUIREMENT
LAW
On this the 27th day of February 1987 came on to be considered by the court the purchase
of a defibrillator for use by Kerr County EMS (A Division of Cynro, Inc.).
Upon motion by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Baldwin, with Commissioners
Holland and Baldwin and County Judge Edwards voting "AYE" and Commissioner Lich voting "NAY",
said motion passed by a majority vote authorizing purchase of one MRL 450SL Monitor Defibrilla
tor, with one MRL 450SL Patient Cable (Spare Part), and one b3RL 4505E Battery (Spare Part) for
a total cost of $5256.50 from DIXIE USA, INC. -- subject to County Attorney giving approval
that this does not violate the bid requirement law in making a purchase of over $5,000.00.

NO. 17140 APPROVAL OF APPOINTMENT OF ARTHUR VERONA AS ASSISTANT EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
CO-ORDINATOR
On this the 27th day of Februanl 19E7, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded
by Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved the appointment of Arthur Verona as
Assistant Emergency Management Co-Ordinator, working with Raymond P. Holloway -- both being
members of the City of Kerrville Fire Department.
