HAZLEWOOD, DEPUTY COUNTY CLERK, be ratified and confirmed, effective January 27th, 1987, and
that she be paid for 4 hours of vacation due her.

On this the 22nd day of January 1987, upon motion made by Commissioner Lich, seconded
by Commissioner Holland, the Court unanimously approved the request of PATRICIA DYE, County
Clerk, for the appointment of JANICE HAAG as a Deputy County Clerk, effective as of January
26th, 1987, at a salary of $11,528.00 per annum, $960.67 per month - $480.33 semi-monthly,
pay group 10 step 1, and that her salary be paid out of the General Fund.

On this the 22nd day of January 1987, a motion was made by Commissioner Ray, and second-
ed by Commissioner Baldwin, to designate a No Smoking Policy in the Hallways and Restrooms

of the Kerr County Courthouse, with Commissioners Ray and Baldwin voting "AYE" and Commis-
sinners Holland and Lich and County Judge Edwards voting "NAY", said motion failed.
Judge Edwards stated that he was opposed to the policy as there was no practical way to
enforce the rule.
