DISTRICT CLERK'S OFFICE
On this the 12th day of January 1987, upon motion made by
Commissioner Holland , seconded by Commissioner Rav
the Court unanimously approved that the County Judge of Kerr
County, Texas be authorized to advertise for a Reader-
Printer for use by the Kerr County District Clerk's Office.
Bids to be without trade-in.
Specifications are on file in the office of the County Clerk
of Kerr County, Texas.
Bids to be accepted until x:00 o'clock F'. M., Friday February 6th,
1987 in the County Clez3c`s Office of Kerr County, Kerrville, Texas.
Bids must be for equipment which complies with specifications
on file in the office of the County Clerk of Kerr County.
Bids will be publicly opened on Monday, February 9th, 1987 at
10:30 o'clock A. M.
Kerr County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

READER-PRINTER, BID SPECIFICATIONS
1) Unit must utilize plain bond paper, 16 lb. to 22 lb in weight at
a minimum of S~ X 11".
2) Unit must hold a minimum of 500 sheet of 20 lb. bond stock in a front
loading paper supply compartment.
3) Unit must utilize a single component cartridge loaded toner without
fuser oil.
4) Unit must utilize an organic photoconductive imaging system which is
capable of operator changing when necessary. (no drum, contains a belt
that can be changed by operator)
5) Unit must be capable of making from 1-99 prints selectable through reader/
printer-keyboard of a single image, or batches of images, and have a 99
sheet exit tray capacity.
6) Printer must be delivered to the operator in the front of the unit,
right reading for operator verification.
7) Unit is to have a 10 second first print rated speed and capable of
multiple prints at a rated speed of 10 prints per minute.
8) Unit must have auto and manual exposure control.
9) Unit shall automatically load 16:nm microfilm cartridges, i e: 3M,
ANSI or Ektamate.
10) Unit shall have a factory installed keyboard blip retrieval system
capable of automatically retrieving and locating images on microfilm
utilizing single, dual or triple level blipping configurations in both
the A & B film track.
11) Unit will have a 15' per second average transport speed in both forward
and reverse directions.
12) Unit will have a keyboard controlled image positioning system for
centering image on the screen for both viewing and printing. This image
position, once set, must be stored in memory for further use.
13) Unit will have multiple lenses, ranging from 14-47X blow back ratio.
14) Unit is to have optional capabilities of being placed online to a
computer.
15) Unit must have a toner-recovery capability. (keeps machine clean and
maintenance down.)
