OBJECTIVE:
FLSA: Exempt
To assist the district clerk in all phases of office operations and to
serve as district clerk in that person s absence. ,
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
1. Reports to: Oistrict Clerk.
2. Directs: Senior Clerk(s) and Intermediate Clerk(s).
3. Other: Has daily contact with fudges. attorneys, and the general
public and occasional contact with various law enforcement agencies
and with other county departments.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
This is a very responsible supervisory position. Duties include assis-
ting the district clerk in supervising departmental personnel and per-
forming complex clerical and administrative work in processing district
court cases and maintaining official accurate court records.
EXAMPLES OF WORK:
Plans, organizes, assigns and reviews the work of subordinates;
Trains department personnel;;
Maintains current knowledge of applicable statutes. regulations, and
guidelines relating to operation of the district clerk's office;
Serves as secretary to district fudges, drafting correspondence and
responding to informational and legal inquiries which require research
from court records;
Receives and disburses court-ordered child support payments;
Receives, files. and dockets civil suits and grand fury indictments;
Issues civil and criminal documents;
