ORDER NO. 17132 KERR COUNTY TO CALL SPECIAL ELECTION RELATED TO ONE-HALF PERCENT COUNTY SALES TAX On this the 19th day of February 1987, upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner Holland, with Commissioners Holland,. Ray and Baldwin and County Judge Edwards voting "AYE" and Commissioner Lich voting "NAY", said motion carrying by a majority vote, that Kerr County call for a Special Election related to one-half percent County Sales Tax, the second Saturday in August 1987, the same being August 8th, 1987. § 3.004 ELECTION CODE Title 1 (1) the county judge, for the genera] election for officers of the county government; (2) the mayor, for the general election for city officers; and (3) the governing body of a political subdivision, other than a county or city, that has elective offices, for the general election for those officers. (b) If a law providing for an election relating to the affairs of a political subdivision does not designate the authority responsible for ordering the election, the governing body of the political subdivision shall order the election.
