ORDER CALLITdG FOR Aid ELECTION FOR ABANDONING OF THE OPTIONAL COUTdTY ROAD SYSTEM IN KERR COUNTY THE STATE OF TEXAS X COUTdTY OF i:ERR X On this the 14th day of September, 1987, the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, Texas, convened in regular session open to the public, at the regular meeting place thereof at the Courthouse in Kerr County, I:errville, Texas, with the following members of the Court present, to wit: DANNY R. EDidARDS, FRED HOLLAND, BILL RAY, VICTOR LICH, H. A. BALD60IN, PATRICIA DYE, County Judge Commissioner Precinct 1 Commissioner Precinct 2 Commissioner Precinct 3 Commissioner Precinct 4 Clerk of the County Court and Ex-Officio Clerk of the Commissioners' Court of I:err County, Te~;as and the following absent members: None constituting a quorum, and among other proceedings, passed the following order: There came on to be considered a Petition for the Abandoning of the Optional County Road System in Kerr County, Texas, as authorized by Article 6702-1, Subchapter C, Sec. 3.201, V.T.C.S., for the purpose of submitting to the legally qualified voters of said County the determination of the issue described therein. It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that said petition was filed and contained the number of required signatures, it is ordered that the issue of the Abandoning of the Optional County Road System be placed on the November 3rd, 19II7 ballot, along with the Constitutional Amendment Election to be held. BE IT FURTHER ORDERED that the County Clerk did verify the signatures of the registered voters who have signed the petition, and that prior to thirty (30) days before the election that the Clerk certified in writing that a sufficient number of signatures representing voters, numbering at least 1070, being l0a of the qualified voters who cast ballots in the gubernatorial election held in 1986, have petitioned the Court for the Election. THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER ORDERED BY THE COMMISSIONERS' COURT that an election be held in Y:err County, Texas on the 3rd day of November 1987, same being after the 30th day after the day the petition was filed with the Commissioners' Court, for the purpose of submitting to the legally qualified voters of said County the determination of the following issue, to wit: FOR "Abandoning the Optional County Road System in Kerr County" AGAINST "Abandoning the Optional County Road System in Kerr County" and that said election shall be held in each Election Precinct as required by law, and by such persons as designated by the Commissioners' Court. The polls at each of the designated polling places shall on said election date be open from 7:00 o'clock A, M. to 7:00 o'clock P. M. Said ballot shall also have printed thereon the proposition appro- priate to this election in the exact language stated in Article 6702-1, Subchapter C, Sec. 3.201 (b), to wit: FOR "Abandoning the Optional County Road System in Kerr County" AGAINST "Abandoning the Optional County Road System in Kerr County" Notice of said election shall be given as required by Section 4.003 of the Texas Election Code and Article 29e, Texas Revised Civil Statutes. Absentee voting for said election shall be conducted by the County Clerk in accordance with the terms and provisions of the Texas Election Code. It is further found and determined that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting was posted on the bulletin boards located at places convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times at the County Courthouse at Kerrville, Texas, at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of this meeting. Alotion made by Commissioner Baldwin , seconded by Commissioner Lich, that the same do pass. Thereupon, the question being called for, the following members of the Court voted "AYE": County Judge Danny R. Edwards, Commissioner Fred Holland, Commissioner Bill Ray, Commissioner Victor Lich, and Commissioner H. A.
