A major concern exists concerning the possible hiding spaces for contraband along.th~ existing ledge angles between the steel and the walls or ceilings. We recommend that a top quality sealant be used to close off the openings, such as: ' A. Sonneborn Sonolastic NPI 1f installed by the Owner, from Stone Co. San Antonio. S. Sonneborn Sonolastic NPII C2-part) if installed by a professional, such as Southwest Sealant of San Antonio. C. Sikaflex by Owner or professional, from Cooper Supply in San Antonio. In all cases, use a closed-cell urethane backer rod of appropriate thickness to create a firm fIt at a depth equal to the width of the joint. Maximum width should be about 1=1/2'. All the above sealants. may be painted and we would recommend that it be so done, so as not to call attention to the softer material. The Sikaflex is the most rigid final set, but is probably the most expensive material (approx. S7 per tube). Please let me know if I can be of any more serv[ce. We are looking forward to ~ successful and certainly much-needed operation for our community and youth. Good luck.... Your ruly, Mich a N. Walker cc: County Judge Danny Edwards flleiLy'"3 -1
