TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT OF MAVELENE SMITH, JAILER-
DISPATCHER
On this the 19th day of February 1987, upon motion made
by Commissioner Holland seconded by Commissioner Baldwin ,
the Court unanimously approved that the termination of the
employment of MAVELENE SMITH, JAILER-DISPATCHER, be ratified
and confirmed, effective as of February 3rd., 1987.

Dear Sirs:
On Wednesday 1/2$/$7 Jailer/Dispatcher Mae Smith called
in sick, she was off duty Thursday and Friday. On Friday
night 1/30/$7 she called JailerDispatcher Eddie Hill and
told him she was taking emergency leave for a few days, she
did not call or contact her supervisor, Jail Administrator
Harry Scholl at all.
bfs. Smith has moved from her apartment in Kerrville and the
phone disconnected.
As Ms. Smith is still on probation and has taken unauthorized
leave and by abandonding her position leaving other employees
to do her job because of the Absence without leave, she is ter-
minated from this Department as of this date,2/3/$~.
P?s. Mavelane "Mae" Smith was employeed September 26th, 19$6
and terminated February 3, 19$7, by not completing her six
months probation she is not entitled to any vacation time and
her last day on the payrol]. was through 1/30/$7.
