ORDER NO. 17040 APPROVAL OF RATIFICATION OF CHANGES TO THE LANDFILL CONTRACT AND BID SPECIFICATIONS On this the 12th day of January 1987, upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner Holland, the Court unanimously approved ratification of changes to the Landfill Contract and Bid Specifications as agreed upon at the City- County Landfill meeting on January 8th, 1987. (Copy of changes on file but not recorded). .. ., January 15, 1987 TO ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS: SUBJECT: City of Kerrville - Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Request for Proposals The time for receiving bids has been extended. Bids will be opened at 3:00 p.m. on February 5, 1987. The enclosed revised bid package incorporates the changes in my letter of December 19, 1986. The revised bid package also incorporates changes made by the City Council and County Commissioners' Court at their last meetings. Such changes include: 1. The office business hours of both the Collection Contractor and the Disposal Contractor have been extended thirty minutes (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., rather than 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). 2. The bid line item to pick up construction debris under the Residential Collection Contract has been deleted. ., 3. The instructions have been revised to permit the Bidders to include his own alternate, but only in the event the Bidder first bids the documents as prepared. OI R[RRVILL[, T[JlA! 4. The performance bond requirement has been increased from $100,000 to $300,000 in both the Collection Contract and the Disposal Contract. 5. Both Collection and Disposal rates are to be adjusted by the full amount of change in the CPI (instead of 50$), but the total increase shall not exceed five percent. 6. The Collection Contract has been corrected to show that the Collection Contractor gets.paid the disposal pass through, even if the Collection Contractor is also the Disposal Contractor., 7. The Disposal Contract now provides that everyone (including City and County residents hauling their own garbage) shall pay a disposal rate. A minimum charge of $1.00 per vehicle is established. r 8. The Disposal Contract contains a new provision for a building to house the scales, as well as specifications for the scales themselves. 9.
