County Judge called for an executive session, for legal and personnel matters
pursuant to Art. 6252-17 Section (e) and (f).
Executive session was over at 11:00 o'c.ock A. M. and the Court convened in open
session at 11:05 o'clock A. M., with all members present, with the exception of Judge Edwards.
Commissioner Lich served as presiding officer, and the following proceedings were
had:
NO. 17948 COUNTY ROAD ENGINEER, GERALD W. MENEFEE, AUTHORIZED TO MOVE FORWARD WITH PLAN
FOR DRAINAGE EASEMENT IN GREENWOOD FOREST SECTION Z'HREE
On this the 14th day of June 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Baldwin, seconded by
Commissioner Ray, with Commissioners Holland, Ray and Baldwin voting "AYE" and Commissioner
Lich voting "NAY", said motion carried by a majority vote, approving that the Kerr County Road
Engineer, Gerald W. Menefee, be authorized to move forward with a plan for a drainage easement
in Greenwood Forest Section Three, and those tracts of undeveloped land owned by Mr. Dan
Johnson, located immediately downstream. As a part of this plan, hir. Dan Johnson shall
construct a trapezoidal channel with finished dimensions of 5 foot minimum bottom width; 2
foot minimum depth, and. 3:1 side slopes, as previously recommended by Gerald W. Dienefee, Kerr
County Road Engineer. Prior to turning over the completed d.rairiage channel to Kerr County for
maintenance, a 20 foot drainage easement wi?hin, in which the Uhai~nel is to be located, shall
t>e surveyed by Mr. Johnson, transferred to Kerr County and recorded ire the Kerr County Clerk's

NO. 17949 APPROVAL OF EMPLOYMENT OF MARY HINES AS DEPUTY TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR
On this the 14th day of June 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded
by Commissioner Baldwin, the Court unanimously approved the request of Doris Lee Smith, Tax
Assessor-Collector, for the employment of MARY HINES as DEPUTY TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR, effec-
tive June 16th, 1988, at a salary of $14,904.00 per annum, $621.00 semi-monthly, Pay Group
15 Step 1, payable out of the General Fund.

N0. 17950 TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT OF CHARLES JANSON, JAILER/DISPATCHER
On this the 14th day of June 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commis-
sioner Baldwin, it was unanimously approved by the Court that the termination of employment
of CHARLES JANSON, JAILER/DISPATCHER, be ratified and confirmed, effective as of biay 25th,
1988, and that he be paid for 56 hours of vacation time, to be included in his final check
on biay 31st, 1988 payroll.

On this the 14th day of June 1988, a motion was made by Commissioner Baldwin to extend
the contract between Kerr County and the Upper Guadalupe River Authority for Environmental

Motion was seconded by Commissioner Lich, with Commissioners Lich and Baldwin voting
"AYE" and Commissioners Ray and Holland voting "NAY", and County Judge Edwards "ABSTAINING
FROM VOTING", said motion failed by a majority vote.

County Livestock Exhibition Buildings, effective as of July 1st, 1988, listed as follows:

a. $110.00 per day, plus heat or air conditioning charge
b. $ 40.00 per day heat or air conditioning charge
' 2. Private Use
a. $ 50.00 per day, plus heat or air conditioning charge

Above rates are for 6 hours per day use, with $5.00 per hour charge over 6 hours per day.
