On this the 23rd day of May 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded
by Commissioner Ray, with Commissioners Holland and Ray and County Judge Edwards voting "AYE"
and Commissioners Lich and Baldwin voting "NAY", said motion carrying by a majority vote,
approving that Michael Neal Walker, Architect, be authorized to proceed with preliminary
plans and site plan for future expansion at Spur 100, for the Road and Bridge Department and
Health Department Offices.

N0. 17914 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS AND ACCOUNTS
On this the 23rd day of May 1988, came on to be considered by the Court the various
claims and accounts against Kerr County and the various Commissioners' Precincts, which claims
and accounts were approved for payment out of General, Jury, Road and Bridge, County Law
Library, Revenue Sharing Trust, Flood Control Maintenance, Traffic Safety, Indigent Health
Care and 216th District Probation Funds.
Motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner Holland and unanimously
approved by the Court that said bills be paid.

NO. 17915 APPROVAL OF BUDGET AMENDMENT IN AMOUNT OF $1600.00, CREATING LINE ITEM
NO. 10-409-108, AND APPROVAL OF ESTABLISHMENT OF KERR COUNTY APPRENTICE PROGRAM
On this the 23rd day of May 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by
Commissioner Ray, with Commissioners Holland, Ray, and Lich and County Judge Edwards voting
"AYE" and Commissioner Baldwin voting "NAY", said motion carrying by a majority vote, approv-
ing a Budget Amendment in the amount of $1600.00, creating Line Item No. 10-409-108 - Non-
Departmental, and Establishment of Kerr County Apprentice Program.

On this the 23rd day of May 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Baldwin, seconded
by Commissioner Ray, the Court unanimously approved appointment of BILL BOWDEN as Chairman
of the Jail Expansion Committee.

On this the 23rd day of May 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Baldwin, seconded

voting "AYE" and Commissioner Ray "ABSTAINING FROM VOTING", said motion carrying by a
majority vote, approving a merit increase for MARILYN FRITZ, Deputy in the County Court at
Law Department, effective as of June 1st, 1988, from Pay Group 10 Step 1, $11,643.00 per
annum, semi-monthly $485.13, to Pay Group 10 Step 3, $12,232.00 per annum, $509.67
semi-monthly.

COMMISSIONERS' COURT RECONVENED IN SPECIAL SESSION IN THE KERR CUUNTY COURTROOM
ON MAY 27th, 1988 at 10:00 o'clock A. M., continuing from Agendas of May 23, 1988, and with
Agendas of May 27, 1988, with all members present; and the Court having duly opened, the
' following proceedings were had:
I, NO. 17919 AMENDING ORDER NO. 17890 CONCERNING NEW LINE ITEM AND PART-TIME HELP FOR
JUSTICE OF THE PEACE OF PRECINCT ONE
On this the 27th day of May 1988, the Court considered changing ORDER NO. 17890 (dated
May 9, 1988), which approved a budget amendment for Justice of the Peace of Precinct One,
' by increasing budget in an amount of $1100.00 for relief help for five weeks and creating
new line item.
Upon motion by Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner Holland, with Commissioners
" Holland and Ray and County Judge Edwards voting "AYE" and Commissioners Lich and Baldwin
voting "NAY", it was approved by a majority vote of the Court to amend ORDER NO. 17890 by
deleting the words "for relief help for five weeks" and substituting the words "for
part-time help as needed, within budgeted amount"

NO. 17920 APPROVAL OF ARCHITECTURAL CONTRACT WITH MICHAEL NEAL WALKER FOR FUTURE OFFICE
FACILITIES FOR KERR COUNTY ROAD AND BRIDGE AND HEALTH DEPARTMENTS, INCLUDING
OVERALL SITE PLAN DEVELOPMENT AT SPUR 100
On this the 27th day of May 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded
by Commissioner Ray, with Commissioners Holland and Ray and County Judge Edwards voting "AYE"
and Commissioners Lich and Baldwin voting "NAY", said motion carrying by a majority vote ~
approving contract with Michael Neal Walker, Architect, for future Office Facilities for
Kerr County Road and Bridge and Health Departments, including overall site plan development
at Spur 100 at State Highway 27, Kerrville, Texas; and the Court authorized County Judge
Danny R. Edwards to sign (execute) said contract on behalf of Kerr County.
