COMPUTERIZATION FOR TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR'S OFFICE
of April 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by
Commissioner Lich, with Commissioners Holland, Ray and Lich voting "AYE" and County Judge
Edwards voting "NAY", said motion carrying by a majority vote, approving to initiate a
Contract with SOFTWARE GROUP, INC., for purchase of a main frame and computerization for
the Tax Assessor-Collector's Office.

Fred Holland, Bill Ray, Victor Lich, and H. A. Baldwin present, and the Court having duly
opened, the following proceedings were had:

was presented by Dr. B. L. Carlile (of B. L. CARLILE & ASSOC., INC., College Station, TX)--it
being first of three reports to be presented prior to July 1, 1988 (see ORDER NO. 17802).
No Court action at this time.
NO. 17868 AMENDING ORDER NO. 17827--EXTENDING THE DATE FOR RECEIVING OF BIDS FOR PAVING
FOR INDIAN CREEK/BEAR CREEK CONNECTION ROAD, ROUNDABOUT, AND THAT PORTION OF
SANDY LANE THAT LIES WITHIN THE WEST CREEK HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION, AND LILLIAN
AND VINE STREETS, AND AUTHORIZING KERR COUNTY ROAD ENGINEER TO NOTIFY BID
PACKAGE HOLDER OF SUCH ACTION
On this the 25th day of April 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded by
Commissioner Baldwin, the Court unanimously approved amending ORDER N0. 17827 (dated April 5,
1988)--extending the date for receiving of bids for paving for Indian Creek/Bear Creek
Connection Road, Roundabout, and that portion of Sandy Lane that lies within the West Creek
Heights Subdivision, and Lillian and Vine Streets, and authorizing the Kerr County Road
Engineer to notify bid package holder of such action.
Bids to be received until 9:00 o`clock A. M., May 9th, 1988 (extended from "5.00 o'clock
P. M., May 2nd, 1988") at the office of the Road Engineer, Kerr County Courthouse, Kerrville, Texas.

Specifications are on file in the office of the Road Engineer. Bids will be opened ~
publicly and read aloud at 10:00 o'clock A. M., May 9th, 1988 (extended from "DSay 3rd, 1988")
in Regular Session (instead of "Special Session") of the Commissioners' Court.
Kerr County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

NO. 17869 P4OTION TO CONSIDER PURCHASE OF SOFTWARE AND IMPLEMENTING COMPUTERIZATION
TRAINING (MAIN FRAME) FOR OFFICES OF SOME KERR COUNTY ELECTED OFFICIALS
On this the 25th day of April 1988, a motion was made by Commissioner Bill Ray to
consider purchase of Software and implementing computerization training (Main Frame by
SOFTWARE GROUP, INC.) for the offices of Sheriff and Justices of the Peace Precinct #1 and #2,
to start July 1, 1988; and for the offices of District Clerk and County Clerk, beginning on
July 15, 1988.
Motion was seconded by County Judge Edwards, with Commissioner Ray and the County Judge '
'' voting "AYE" and Commissioners Holland, Lich, and Baldwin voting "NAY", motion failed by a
~! majority vote of the Court.

DEPARTMENT REFERRED TO ROAD ENGINEER FOR STUDY AND RECOMMENDATION
On this the 3rd day of May 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded by
Commissioner Ray, the Court unanimously approved that bids received for one modular or mobile
office building, for use by the Kerr County Road and Bridge Department, be referred to the
Road Engineer for study and recommendation, and consideration of acceptance of bid to be
determined at the regular Commissioners' Court Meeting on May 9th, 1988.

NO. 17872 MOTION BY COMMISSIONER RAY REGARDING TRACTS 12, 13 AND THE SOUTH 1/2 OF 14 OF
STONELEIGH RANCH PRESENTLY OWNED BY IdR. & MRS. LEAI4ON BUSH
On this the 3rd day of May 1988, came on to be considered by the Court the request of
Leamon Bush, requesting a variance regarding tracts 12, 13, and the South 1/2 of 14 of
Stoneleigh Ranch property owned by Mr. & Mrs. Leamon Bush.
A motion was made by Commissioner Ray that the request to subdivide the property
constitutes a Subdivision and not a variance. Motion failed for lack of a second.
